We love a panel show in the UK, and 8 out of 10 cats does Countdown, is probably the most successful and consistently funny.

He doesn’t actually believe the stuff, but showing we can laugh, he even done a BBC documentary on jokes and why we laugh, explaining why we laugh! https://youtu.be/LivScfu_ABc?si=2XU6Eql_V5yhE48P

2024-12-18 22:06:01 +0000 UTCI would agree, not the best Jimmy clip to start with. Please don’t give up on jimmy Carr as he really is one of the best comedians around and I think you would prefer some of his other works/sets a lot more

2024-12-18 19:07:47 +0000 UTCI went to the same grammar school as Jimmy Carr, so I’m always interested in what he does. I prefer him as host on 8 Out Of 10 Cats Do Countdown*, which is a panel show featuring comedians. Highly recommended and I am sure you’ll both love it as there are similarities to Would I Lie To You? (But there are genuine quiz elements to it). Old favourites such as Bob Mortimer and Sarah Millican often show up, and they had a gem as team captain in the late Sean Lock, who once delivered on of the funniest lines ever on UK TV that actually reduced Jimmy Carr to tears. *the strange title of the show is because it is a fusion of two shows - Countdown (a show where contestants solve mathematical and word tests against the clock) and Eight Out Of Ten Cats (a comedy panel show). It sounds odd, but it really is fun. Countdown also still exists separately as a show in its own right.

2024-12-18 17:23:58 +0000 UTCHi guys :) Dane here, first time patreon commentor :) The Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy (or Muhammad cartoons crisis, Danish: Muhammed-krisen) began after the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published 12 editorial cartoons on 30 September 2005 depicting Muhammad, the leader of Islam, in what it said was a response to the debate over criticism of Islam and self-censorship. Muslim groups in Denmark complained, sparking protests around the world, including violence and riots in some Muslim countries. Danish products where boycott and the cartoonist had to go into hiding and still is.

2024-12-18 16:22:23 +0000 UTCThis is a terrible clip of Jimmy, not the correct one that others start on. Jimmy is one of the UK's best comedians, very edgy indeed. This is very tame. Jimmy is a really great guy and can also be found on a programme called 8 out of 10 cats does countdown which has some hillarious clips along with other comedians. As far as his stand up goes, there are lots out there to choose from, audience interaction and heckling responses are very funny. Hope you guys are doing well and have an amazing Christmas :)
