The holodeck in Star Trek allowed the crew to have all sorts of adventures throughout time and fantasy (and allowed the writers to basically write episodes in entirely different genres). Obviously, I've had to have some fun with that too. Space station holo-bays allow visiting starship crews a wide range of activities to help them unwind... for the right price.
Having a whole fantasy adventure with your crew, with magic spells and monsters and all, must cost a pretty hefty sum of credits, but it's worth it!
