Theories abound as to whether it's a remnant of ancient advanced technology, or a motherlode of precious materials, whether it's lost in the void of space or sitting on a forgotten planet, alone or guarded. It has been sought for centuries by treasure hunters and zealots.
Of course, an expert thief like Ezmeraldea would love to steal the Heart of the Galaxy. But the Sisters of the Heart, like Sister Tanis, have sworn to find the Heart and guard it from any who would defile it.
