Exciting Update
Added 2023-01-25 23:53:26 +0000 UTCHey everyone, just touching base like always as I have something fun to announce.
First of all, Coye vol 6 is coming along well. Working on ch. 3 right now, and will be going back and forth between the outlines and final chapters. Best case scenario is releasing it at the end of next month, I think. But Coye isn’t the main focus of the update today, so listen up.
Those of you who are familiar with the haremlit scene are likely familiar with how a bunch of the big authors are just guys who hire legions of ghost writers and push out formulaic drivel. Hear me out on this, but I want to expand and do something similar albeit much, MUCH more transparent.
The realm of Karnalle and beyond is very large, and we’ve only had stories in one of the seven provinces. I want to work with ghost writers to expand the scope of my stories. Simply put, I will do 100% of the work on Coye while developing spin-offs and writing outlines/creating characters for other stories. These outlines will be more detailed than the ones I write for my own personal use, and when I get the drafts from the ghost writer in question, I will heavily edit them to make them more ‘me’ in the final draft. The problem with the big ghostwriter authors is that there’s no vision behind them, no unifying voice or sensibilities that tie them all together so they all mush into a big puddle of unreadable, personality-less goo. I’d say the biggest asset of my writing is my distinct personality, so that’s something I can’t afford to lose. Thus, I’ll be heavily overseeing the actual text of these.
This last couple of days I’ve been developing the first of these stories, and I’m almost done with the character work. It’s going to be set in Karnalle’s capital, Imperalis. I’ll detail more about it in more posts later on. For now, we’re going to see how this experiment goes. The story is very small scale, and if it goes well, I’ll know to keep expanding from here. I plan to have the outline done by the end of the week for the first ‘book’ though I don’t know how long it’ll be. I’m pretty excited over it, and I hope you’re eager to learn more!
