Auriss Bio

3/4 of the bios I need to start writing Ghorza's story done! Gonna try and hammer out the next one tomorrow, too.

Aurissindia Lalalias Myrilentiel Vesrynier Asintivar Musalyndorin, common tongue name Auriss Musalyn, is a 119-year-old Elven Bard. She makes a living adventuring and playing songs at the Hunnihome Adventurer's Guild. Her parents are immigrants from the Elf Homerealm of Sylvandiel who could no longer deal with the stresses of Elf society and longed for something more. Karnalle wasn't perfect, but it was an option. They took a chance and settled in Hunnihome, and they haven't regretted their decision a single time.

Auriss comes from a family of artists. Her mother is a painter, and her father is a poet. Naturally, the couple was looking for any signs of artistic talent in their newborn daughter to nurture them. It turned out that her gift was singing. From a young age, the girl's voice was beautiful, even by Elvish standards. Once Auriss became a young lady at the tender age of 100, her parents enrolled her in the Burminell Bard College to hone her gift.

At College, Auriss picked up a few bad habits that have stuck with her to this day. While studying the arts, Auriss proved popular among her fellow students, and she got invited to a particular club. This club was dedicated to sharing the worst poetry, songs, and tales known to the Realms. Students would perform their findings with one another, and to an innocent, naive Elf girl who led a life of normality, this proved to be too much. Her head was filled with all sorts of inappropriate thoughts. Even worse, unlike most students who enjoyed the works through the lens of sarcasm, Auriss became enraptured with these debauched works of art without a shred of irony. Auriss's beautiful voice was now tainted by her newfound talent for naughty limericks and slutty sonnets.

The poor girl didn't know that her friends stopped laughing with her at some point along the way and instead started laughing at her.

Auriss graduated in four years but found she didn't have much of a planned path once she left. As an Elf, she figured she had some time to figure things out, and she spent a few years busking across Echora. Auriss was able to get by, but she found no one who understood her perverted and low-brow sense of humor. She began to feel lonely, and this made her wish to return home to her parents.

On her trip back to Hunnihome, Auriss ended up having a chance encounter with the Guild Mistress of the Hunnihome Adventurer's Guild. Lanille Peacethorn was returning from a business trip at the time, and Auriss happened to be traveling down the same road. Vicious monsters overtook Lanille's escorts. Since the Bard was trained in spellsongs and had been a part of more than a few fights while traveling, she stepped in to save the Guild Mistress and defeated the monsters. Impressed with what she saw, Lanille invited Auriss to become an adventurer.

Initially, Auriss didn't want to. She thought it too dangerous but eventually was talked into registering anyway. She found the Guild to be a fun place, and although she still felt lonely, Auriss at least finally had somewhere that was amused enough at her antics. Much to Lanille's displeasure, though, Auriss only rarely actually went on adventures. She spent most of her time performing for the Guild and only taking on quests here and there when she wanted a bit of extra gold for this and that.

This lifestyle of drifting around the city, playing at the Guild, and randomly adventuring served her well enough, yet still Auriss found her life lacking. Lanille was her only real friend, and she confided to the Guild Mistress how life just felt so aimless that she isn't sure what the point is sometimes. Luckily, Lanille had just helped set up an odd pair of an Orc and a Catfolk, and she was convinced that there was room enough in their dynamic for one more.

Why was she so confident that Auriss would fit? Much like D'artanyan before her, the Elf has a massive Orc fetish. This stems from her college days back at the club where Auriss discovered her favorite naughty stories, rhymes, and songs were all about Orcs. Many of them border on being little more than racist rape fantasies, and Auriss had gotten in lots of trouble with Orcs when she tried to express her fondness for such things in the past.

Lanille knows that Ghorza doesn't care about crap like that, so she set Auriss up with him and Dart using her silver tongue. After a rocky start, the three get along ideally, and Auriss now finds herself practically swimming in passion. She no longer idles around the Guild, playing for whoever will listen. Instead, she's always right by the Orc's side, cracking dirty jokes and happily making everyone in her immediate vicinity uncomfortable by insisting through the power of rhyme that Ghorza should ravish her until she's full of Half-Orcs.

Ghorza respects her ability as a Bard, even if he's not a fan of her subject matter. On a deeper level, they connect because he can relate to her not really fitting in, and he encourages her not to care so much about what other people think of her. He likes that Auriss is unapologetically herself, and knowing this inspires the Elf to continue without any shame. Eventually, Auriss gets a laugh out of him and becomes obsessed with trying to make him laugh because she finds him super cute when he does.

Auriss also gets on excellent with Dart, and later on, the fourth member of this party, Qadira. Dart is too naive to understand most of Auriss's jokes, so she has lots of fun with that. Qadira, on the other hand, is frequently annoyed with the Elf, which only motivates her to tease the Magi even harder. The three adventurers enter into an unspoken understanding that Ghorza is fair game. They’re willing to work together to bust open not only his heavily guarded outer shell but also his nut.
