Homecoming
- GM is home, Opal drops him off, would love to stay and chat but she's been away from research for a few days and needs to check on things at home.
- GM enters the Guild, looks around and sees no one. Eventually, Zutiria comes in through the back door wearing a bathrobe. She runs towards him and jumps into his arms, saying they were all supposed to surprise him but she couldn't do it because she wanted to see him so bad. Adorable hugs and kisses.
- She leads him to the surprise. Out in the backyard, Zuzu takes him to the bathhouse he's mentioned being out of order. GM had a feeling this was coming on account of Snow's cryptic comments
- All the girls are waiting to welcome him home with a lewd bath, each wearing lewd swimsuits. He mentions he already had a lewd bath with Opal the night before
- Snow gets subtly mad, sweeping him off his feet with her tail. She's been planning this for days and doesn't care. She drags him to the room by wrapping her tail around his ankle. Everyone giggles at his misfortune, but he's glad to be home
- There used to be a male and female bathing area, but Snow had the divider removed with Gwin's help. GM mentions this is against AoA protocol but will probably be fine.
- GM is stripped by the girls, and he gets nervous when he sees one of the lube vats nearby. He makes sure that it's not Faerie Frenzy, and finds out it's called Slippery Siren. It's a soap and lube hybrid used in bathhouses, makes the body feel super good while being cleaned.
- Cherry and Peri giggle, they got to test it during a break from cleaning and are excited to use it more.
- The girls all pour a bucket of the lube onto their bodies and spread it around, and the effects are pretty immediate. Each remarks about how crazy fast they feel horny, and they rush to push down GM and start rubbing themselves all over him. His skin feels amazing once they get going.
- The girls all know how much she missed him, so they give Zuzu first dibs. She's a bit embarassed but happy that everyone cares. She takes it, and debuts a two new eromancy spells. One that lets her manipulate her pussy, and one that makes his dick vibrate.
- The sex goes on, everyone gets a round before they suggest moving to the water. Awkward sounding voice comes from behind the group.
- Evisse Galloise is revealed to have been standing there for a while, similar to Meri's debut. Sam recognizes her, and she recognizes Sam. She heard all the noise and couldn't find anyone, so she came into the bathhouse.
- GM does not have his glasses on, so he's able to instantly confirm that she's been chosen by Luxy.
- Everyone just sort of stares, before Snow finds her professionalism and tells Evisse she'll be right with her and that she should go wait in the entrance hall.
The Healer
- The gang finishes their bath without any more fun, Sam reveals she's acquaintances with Evisse and that she kinda creeps her out. Zuzu doesn't know her, as she was never forced to attend social events. GM leans that this is THE Galloise heiress that's been mentioned before.
- Sam, Meri and Zuzu agree to get out of the way for now and leave GM to handle her with Snow, while the maids get to work cleaning the east wing.
- GM gets dressed and formally introduces himself to Evisse, who is drinking coffee with the head maid. She is very quiet and aloof, yet off-putting slightly. GM apologizes for the sexual sight Evisse is seemingly not bothered, but asks about Sam.
- GM says it's complicated, and Zuzu arrives on cue to make it even worse. Zutiria suggests finally debuting her presentation meant to get newcomers up to speed, but Snow tries to get her not to, saying it's not ready. GM has a bad feeling. Evisse wants to get comfortable here as soon as possible, so she agrees.
- Zutiria's presentation is a magical powerpoint with many infographics explaining how the adventurers of the Dewhurst Guild all get powered up from GM's semen, that they've been chosen by the goddess to join his harem, about Taskmaster, that they're all going to go and fight the Demon Lord one day, but that they're currently in a war against the city's biggest crime lord. All of this information is rapid-fire and with very little pacing.
- Evisse, without reacting at all, simply asks if this is some sort of sex cult. GM struggles to explain that it isn't, but Evisse is sad in her response. She says she doesn't care if it is or not, as she intends to stay, and they can figure out how she fits into it in the dynamic eventually. GM notes she has no facial expressions, no tone in her voice, like she really doesn't care. Red flag.
- GM dismisses Snow and Zuzu, opting for a one on one with the girl where he studies her. She gives him a piece of paper with her spell list on it, revealing she's mainly got healing and support spells with a couple of offensive light attacks, too. GM asks if it's true that she only became an adventurer recently, and she admits she signed up in Imperalis and her father had pulled strings to get her sent to Dewhurst since it's out of the way and no one would find her here.
- GM apologizes for the state of the building, and tells her they'll actually be renovating very soon. Evisse doesn't care one way or the other, which concerns him. He asks if she would like to rest for today, but she shakes her head and insists on earning her keep.
- GM tells her to wait for him then, and he'll set up a quest later. He has to do something with the other girls first.
Sword
- Sam, Nikita, Meri and Zuzu are outside. GM gives them a brief lowdown on the situation, but is eager to put it aside for the moment.
- Sam is told to get her new sword, prompting excitement from her.
- As she goes to get it, Nikita asks if he knows what's up with the sword yet. He answers yes, then asks how Nikita knows. She says it's a very distinct weapon, and has heard legends about it. Weapons interest her, and she knows about lots of Realm's greatest weapons.
- Sam comes back and overhearing this, gets super excited. GM reveals that it's the sword of Rhoivandis Lundreame, and Nikita fills in some of the history for it.
- Sam starts frothing at the mouth, and Meri kind of makes a joke about how this is a little unbalanced for Sam to get a sword that's already killed a Demon Lord before.
- GM starts to worry about this, and ends up stopping Sam from swinging the sword out of panic that there might be a catch. GM asks Luxy if there's something wrong with the sword, and Luxy's ball of light appears.
- She complains about how no one else has ever used the sword and how it's been a treasure ever since, but Zuzu smartly asks WHY no one has used the sword. Hasn't anyone ever tried?
- Luxy shrugs, saying she doesn't know. She just picked the sword for Sam cause she thought it'd be cool for her to have a powerful weapon of light.
- GM anxiously lets Sam swing the sword, only for light crackling energy to surge through her body and zap the crap out of her. Sam falls over, in drastic pain. Zuzu recognizes it as light element damage.
- GM gets angry at Luxy, saying he should have known better. With uncanny timing, Snow comes out with Evisse, having overheard the sudden need for a healer. Snow then gets back to work.
- Evisse heals Sam using a simple spell, but it doesn't fully work. Evisse has the same neutral expression, which makes GM almost think she didn't actually try.
- Sam thanks her anyway, since it mostly worked. Evisse asks about the floating ball of light, Zuzu abruptly drops that it's the Goddess Lux Ultima. GM, overwhelmed, asks Evisse to ignore Zuzu and the ball for a second. He explains they're testing a weapon they found in a dungeon, then asks Meri to try and wield the sword.
- Sam is mad since its hers, but GM pushes her to do it anyway. Meri can swing it just fine, and so can Nikita. Sam doesn't take this well, and she yells at the goddess whose ball avatar fades away.
- Sam starts to act a little bratty, upset that everyone got something cool from the Dungeon except for her. GM doesn't understand why, but Zuzu spells it out for them. Sam is weak to light element attacks for some reason which is weird since humans don't usually have specific elemental weaknesses.
- Sam is like bullcrap, but GM realizes that's the only explanation. Evisse awkwardly volunteers to test it out using one of her weaker offensive spells, which Sam signs off on before GM can say no.
- Evisse hits her with a light beam, causing Sam to hurt bad. Evisse gasps, blushes and hides her face out of shock, but her eyes are wildly different than the blank expression she usually has. She apologizes and heals Sam, which somehow works full this time, before excusing herself and running back to the Guild.
- GM has everyone dismissed except for Sam, who he comforts alone. She's really mad, especially since that book about her ancestors says loads of Lundreames used light magic. GM wants to make it up to her somehow, and she hugs him angrily to bury her face in his chest.
- Take me on a sword date, she demands. He's like ???. Sam is like, you're getting everyone else presents, so go to the market with me and buy me a new magic sword.
- GM smiles and agrees, causing Sam to blush and grumpy frown.
Mission
- GM and Sam return to find everyone sitting around Evisse, who has returned back to her emotionless and blank self for whatever reason. She apologizes for her outburst and for hurting Sam, and Sam shrugs it off. The two then have a brief exchange about Imperalis, and Sam asks if they're still searching for her. Evisse tells her that the city is still worried about Sam's disappearance but the Royal Family hasn't actually made much attempts to find her.
- Sam is upset that her dad hasn't even looked for her, but is also relieved at the same time.
- GM asks if Nikita will shadow him and Sam on a date later in case they get attacked, and she agrees. Sam is upset but lets it go.
- Evisse brings up how she wants to go on the quest soon, and GM announces that the four of them will go hunting Pinemen today. They need to stockpile stores of the wood for the renovations, Evisse gets taught the return gate stuff.
- GM brings up Taskmaster and shows her an example of how he'll be watching her performance and potentially giving feedback through it, and Evisse asks for clarification that this thing only works with adventurers he's had sex with like Zuzu's presentation claimed. He awkwardly says yes and she has no reaction one way or another. Evisse bluntly asks if she should have sex with him to make her more efficient and GM is taken aback but says no. Evisse is just like, oh. Ok.
- Meri is taking the day off on GM's demand, as he hands her the thick tome about Shield Maidens and says get to it. She gets all sparkly eyed and uncharacteristically jumps him, nuzzling into GM like crazy. Everyone reacts to Meri being all cute, except for Evisse, who stares.
- Before they go on the quest, GM has Zuzu send Gwin a telepathic message to come meet with him today if she can. She does, and they depart. Nikita goes out drinking.
Afternoon Fun
- GM calls Snow to his office for a quick meeting, and they both agree something is off about Evisse. Snow says she smells worrisome, but admits that it's not a perfect way of gauging someone.
- Luckily, GM has the seal. He pulls it out of his bag and applies it to the wall of his office, and explains how if Evisse is actually trouble then it shouldn't let her back into the Guild.
- Snow asks if he needs any other assistance right now, to which GM picks up the meaning. He says that wouldn't be very fair to the kittens, but she says she's on duty so if her Master had a request, she couldn't refuse it. Snow asks if he needs any other assistance right now, to which GM picks up the meaning. He says that wouldn't be very fair to the kittens, but she says she's on duty so if her Master had a request, she couldn't refuse it.
- GM takes the hint and asks her to comfort him before he fills out the paperwork to send the 20% to the Association, and Snow gladly agrees. They have about a half hour before the girls will get to the quest destination, anyway.
- She uses her tail to push down to his couch, and yanks his pants off before aggressively sucking him off.
- This continues for a few minutes until there's a knock on the office door, and Gwin comes in. She's shocked but they greet each other.
- GM is surprised she got here so soon, but she was already on her way to the Guild when she got Zuzu's message.
- Gwin offers to go and wait while Snow finishes off, but Snow sees the Dwarf is interested and invites her to join in. She's nervous since she's only given him a handjob before, but Snow convinces her.
- GM is excited, mentions he wanted to talk to her about doing more lewd stuff with her anyway. Snow helps Gwin through her first blowjob and GM teases her since this is technically Snow's first blowjob, too.
- He finishes, and Gwin has another taste of his cum. She and Snow share it, much to his approval. Snow then removes herself from the equation, allowing GM to discuss business with Gwin.
Dwarf Stuff
- The mood is awkward between them for a moment, but they become comfortable soon enough. Gwin asks why he wanted to see her, he digs out the business order from the Duke and has her look through it. She asks what it's supposed to mean, and he says he wants to use it on her family to renovate the Guild.
- Gwin is surprised he'd go that far, and even more than that, that he has enough gold to consider that. GM fills her in about the Dawnstead trip, and he says there's something else he wants to ask her family about. Gwin knows where he's going with it but is embarrassed.
- GM brings up the recent example, of how their armor and Sam's sword was ruined during the Pimpfort. He needs someone around who can always be on call for repairs.
- Gwin reminds him that she's not even a trained blacksmith, only a hobbyist who practices when her family isn't watching. GM takes her hands and says she can learn on the job, and tells her he wants to buy her a forge out in the backyard.
- Gwin blushes and tears up, stammering. He teases her, and she punches him while denying she's crying. She's still hung up on how this won't work, though, but it's the nicest thing anyone's ever done for her. GM says he'll talk to her family about it and will do whatever is necessary.
- Gwin says this won't be that simple, as unless they were married she can't just leave her clan. Furthermore, especially not to do metal working. GM finally asks why her family are carpenters to begin with, noting how it's not very Dwarven.
- Gwin asks if he knows anything about the Dwarf Homerealm, Hal Moldihr. He pulls out the book from his bag of holding and reveals he started reading one lately to impress her but is only ten pages in. Gwin blushes and punches him, but is happy.
- Since he's not very far in, she gives him some spoilers and explains how Hal Moldihr is one huge mountain, and the Dwarves live in different levels of the mountain. Dwarves try to descend the mountain to be one with their creator God, who supposedly lives on the deepest level of the Mountain. Gwin reveals that criminals are punished by being exiled from living within the mountain, and are forced to leave on the surface. She's known to mountain Dwarves as a 'Hill Dwarf', but it's kind of a slur.
- When Karnalle first discovered Hal Moldihr, the first Dwarves to emigrate came from the surface... and her family was one of them. GM asks if Gwin is embarrassed about being a Hill Dwarf, and she admits that she is. She didn't ask to be born one, and she claims she has the heart of a Mountain Dwarf.
- GM tries to comfort her, but Gwin pulls away and asks him if he has to check in on the girls soon. He says yes, but asks if tomorrow would be a good time to visit her clan. Gwin is apprehensive but says she'll be waiting for him at noon.
- Snow appears seemingly out of nowhere, saying she'll put it in GM's schedule. She scribbles in her little notebook then asks if Gwin will come help, Peri collapsed against a wall with her butt and it needs patching. Again. Gwin agrees to help out for a few hours around the Guild, and leaves GM to his work.
Mission (Sam POV)
- Sam's narration reveals she's still pissy about her newly discovered weakness, and she's still uncomfortable about Evisse being around. Even more so that she's supposed to be part of GM's Harem. Sam thinks Evisse is hot, sure, but she's always been kinda creepy. She reveals she's known her for about 10 years, and because their fathers are close they'd often be around each other. Not friends, but not enemies. Just awkward acquaintances.
- Zuzu is aware of the awkwardness, so she handles the small talk. Evisse arrived in the city via an arcane tech carriage, so the journey wasn't very tiresome and it only took two days. Zuzu gives up, saying she tried. Sam says it's all good cause they're almost there, anyway. Evisse ends up asking if Sam really entered into a relationship with GM, and Sam is defensive but is like yes, why?
- Evisse asks if she's in love with him and Sam hesitates but forces herself to say yes again. Zutiria praises her for 'coming so far', but Sam kicks her butt playfully. Sam tells Evisse she doesn't need her judging her, but the healer apologizes if she came off like that. She was just honestly curious. Sam feels bad and apologizes, saying it's hard to tell what Evisse means because of her lack of tone.
- Evisse seems to react negatively to that and apologizes for being emotionless. Trying to deflate the tension, Zuzu jokes that at least with her text, people can guess her tone is either sarcastic or depressing. Sam silently starts wishing Meri was here, as these two are a bit much.
- Luckily, GM contacts them and Sam is thankful. They're entering Pineman turf right now, so he asks Evisse about her experience with her weapon. Evisse says she's never used it before and doesn't have any combat training, so GM tells her to stay in the backline with Zuzu. She complies, but looks disappointed.
- A Pineman approaches but Sam reacts at record speed, and she stops after killing it to admire her new power. She felt it when training with Niki, but is really astonished at how far she's come. While she's admiring, another one attacks but Zuzu cuts it up with a wind spell. Sam dodges by a familiar blink maneuver, which gets GM to chuckle.
- He's like, I knew I saw you putting something in your bag back at the Pimpfort and Sam reveals that the only one of Pimpington's magic rings that didn't break during his transformation was the blink ring, and she took it.
- Evisse stands there awkwardly, waiting for something to do.
- They delve deeper into the Pineman territory, killing them and sending their corpses back left and right. Eventually, three on one come. Evisse raises her staff to attack with a light spell, but Zuzu kills them all at once with one of her own. Evisse looks disappointed. Sam asks if Evisse wants to try fighting one, and her eyes seem to almost light up as she admits that yes, she would.
- GM is a bit hesitant, but admits they need to see how she can handle herself in a fight if no one is there to protect her. They get their chance when another Pineman comes up, and runs toward Evisse. Sam reflexively tries to help the healer, but Evisse whacks it with her staff, which shakes with kinetic energy, and the monster splits in half where she hit it.
- Sam is stunned, but more than that, Evisse is blushing and smiling, before she tries to hide it behind her sleeve. GM figures her staff is arcane tech, which she confirms while giggling. Everyone's a little taken aback by her sudden attitude shift, but as quickly as it came, Evisse goes back to being as stiff as a board.
- Suddenly, they have trouble. A group of 10 Pinemen show up, and GM flips through his monster book to confirm. He was afraid of this. They've been hunting Pinemen pretty aggressively, so they're starting to team up. GM orders Evisse back to the back row, but she insists it'll be alright.
- Evisse activates the arcane energy scythe function on her staff, then GM, Sam and Zuzu watch in awe as she strikes them all down like she's been doing it for years. Evisse basks in her kills, giggling and dropping her scythe to hug her body, saying it's too much to handle. She says she's so glad she got disinherited, she's been waiting her whole life for this.
- Sam and Zuzu warn GM that this chick is crazy, but he is well aware.
After mission (back to GM POV)
- GM calls them back after that, then has Snow check nearby bars to find Nikita. GM is unsettled about what he saw, but is admits there's potential in a combat viable healer. Besides, the seal didn't reject Evisse so she doesn't mean anyone harm.
- The group returns, Sam mentions Evisse was super happy the whole walk home but was upset about coming back. More alive than she'd ever seen her. She's back to normal now, though.
- GM dismisses Sam and Zuzu, while GM invites Evisse to join him and Nikita in the training yard. Evisse follows, asking if she's in trouble, but he tells her no of course not. He asks again if she's really never been trained how to fight properly before and she answers yes, all her life she's only studied, practiced white magic, and tinkered with machines here and there as a hobby.
- He asks Nikita to go a training round with Evisse and she's able to keep up fairly well, surprising both him and the Grekkan. Nikita pulls him aside and warns him that this chick is dangerous. She doesn't have training yet, but all of her strikes were well placed and full of killing intent.
- GM asks if she'll start training Evisse, too, and hopes she'll be able to pass on some scythe arts. Nikita is really, really doubtful and she asks him if his Goddess picked this girl out for him or not. He says yes, and Nikita sighs, reminding him that Gods make mistakes too. She thinks he should talk to Luxy about her, but GM says they barely know Evisse yet and that writing her off as dangerous isn't good.
- Nikita agrees to train her and at least see where it goes, but isn't thrilled about it. GM congratulates Evisse, saying she's a natural and that he'll make sure she learns the proper way to use her scythe. Evisse is excited, even if she can't show it well. She wants to start right away, but Nikita tells her to chill. Evisse then asks if they're doing any more quests today, but GM replies it's best not to over-do it on her first day.
- GM tells her to go and relax, maybe chat with Zutiria if she feels up to it. Otherwise, Snow will show her to her new room. Evisse is hesitant for whatever reason but agrees.
- He gathers Sam for their sword date, and Nikita follows behind them.
Sword Date
- Sam and GM go through the marketplace holding hands. GM can't help comparing it to Dawnstead's market, especially with how much goods it had for adventurers. Sam says once they clean this town up, then maybe the selection will improve. Lots of seedy eyes fall on her, and GM tells her not to talk so loudly about that.
- They come across Niall and Milly for some reason. Niall is annoyed, Milly is wearing glasses and has a clipboard. The new mayor greets them, and they have small talk. Niall is annoyed at actually having to do work, so he hired Milly as a secretary. GM feels awkward, wondering if Solomon has alerted him yet how he can't close down the Guild, but Niall brings it up straight away.
- He's not happy, but shrugs. He was just trying to protect GM even if it was heavy handed. If GM has the Duke of Arrark's support then he admits there's not much he can do. Milly gets on his case, then he leaves GM and Sam alone after warning GM not to blame him if he bites off more than he can chew.
- Sam is eager to go through all the weapon dealers, but lots of them are selling junk that don't even compare to Sam's current sword. She tries out all kinds of magic blades but isn't impressed with any of them, and it keeps on annoying her until she gets super frustrated. GM has to calm her, and she gets embarrassed about it.
- Eventually they come across a promising shop, albeit it's fairly shady. It's in a dark alley and they're selling lots of dirty weapons and armors covered in blood. GM asks where he got all these, and the seller replies that adventurers make a lot of mistakes. Someone has to be on cleanup duty. The Association would likely have something to say about this particular side hustle, but GM decides to keep quiet on it if it means they can buy decent rare gear at alright prices.
- They see there are some magic rings on sale, but the seller doesn't know what they do. Its tempting but GM doesn't want to buy them without Zuzu here to appraise them. He gets the feeling that there are no refunds here.
- There are a couple of magic Great Blades on sale, but Sam narrows it down to two. One is somehow only a hilt and guard, while the other sword is made of a transparent crystal material and has big hollow indents in it for some reason. GM questions her judgment, but when Sam has them in her hand she gets a gut instinct as to how useful they are. Problem is they're both 100,000G, so Sam has to pick one. She ends up going with the one that's only a hilt, since she can wear it on her belt and still keep her normal sword.
- GM makes sure she wants that one as they can't figure out how it works, but she's positive.
- They leave, and hold hands. GM is sorry that they can't get both, but there's not much reason to right now. He mentions if they had an auto-loader it would've been a good investment, but there's no use in getting tons of weapons if she can't switch them out on the fly.
- Sam ands up punching his arm and blushes, saying that it doesn't matter right now. She was having a crappy day, and he made sure they had time to hang out and he even got her something despite how she whined. Sam is just happy that he wanted to be with her, and he brings her in for a public kiss. They pull apart and look at all the people gawking at them, then laugh.
- Bond level three achieved. Both are shocked by the sudden development, and they duck into a nearby alley to check what level three does. GM opens Sam's profile to see a new button, EQUIP. He clicks it and her inventory becomes its own pop-up screen. It says she has her normal sword equipped as well as the new one which Taskmaster lists as 'The Penetrator'. Most importantly, the list shows her light element sword. GM reaches out and drags the light sword onto her normal sword, and the screen says SWAP. The sword holstered on her back is suddenly the newer sword.
- They both stare at each other and have an are you thinking what I'm thinking moment, before that chapter ends with 'we went back and bought the other sword, too.' or something.
Dinner
- They come home to dinner starting in the kitchen. Snow emerges to greet him. GM alerts Snow he needs Meri and Zuzu in his office, tells her bond level stuff. Evisse is in the room and asks if she can attend to, and GM is just like sure...? Snow summons them and GM announces the new power, showing it off. Much excitement.
- Meri doesn't know if it'll be immediately beneficial to her, since it's not like she can use other shields, and Zuzu is unsure if they'll find a better staff than the one she already has. He reminds her they could find staves that excel in one type of magic and switch them in accordingly, which she agrees might be possible.
- Snow is curious and asks to see the screen, which GM allows. She presses a few buttons and Snow unequips all of Sam's armor and clothes, leaving her suddenly naked. Sam shouts until Snow somehow equips a ball gag and bondage equipment from the Guild inventory. Evisse has no reaction, Meri is jealous, while Zuzu watches entertained. Snow undoes her work, smiling about how they had to test the limits. Sam is furious but manages to hold it back, comically afraid of Snow.
- GM proposes that tomorrow, Meri focuses on learning new arts for half the day and once he's done with Gwin he'll go on a date with her too and try to bring her bond level up too. Zuzu the day after. Zuzu looks like she wants to say something, but holds it in so she doesn't hog attention. GM pets her head for this.
- Evisse starts to speak, asking if it's true about the getting stronger with sex thing then. GM confirms, and the strange girl asks if he wants to have sex with her then. Everyone is weirded out by how she just throws it out there. GM is like yes, the semen will make you stronger but bond level is more emotional than that. Evisse is notably upset, and asks if she can have a date then, too.
Talking with Evisse
- GM excuses everyone so he can talk one on one with Evisse. He gives her a seat on his couch, then turns his chair toward her.
- GM asks if she is actually interested in him or if she's feeling pressured just because everyone else is in a relationship with him. Evisse doesn't see why that matters, and GM points out that that's why it matters. He doesn't just casually sleep around, and its obvious Evisse just wants to get stronger. He tells her she'd regret it if she threw away her virginity like that.
- Evisse doesn't remember mentioning she's a virgin, but GM handwaves his godly knowledge away.
- Either way, Evisse goes on to explain how she wouldn't regret it because she can't feel regret in the first place, or even most emotions. GM is taken aback, all ears now and asks her to tell him more.
- Evisse gives a brief summary of her condition. It's true. She can't feel most emotions at all. She tries her best to blend in, but she's never fit in very well because of it. She mentions she's aware of how Sam dislikes her, saying she's hardly the first.
- GM asks if this is why she was disowned by her father. He knows it's rude, but he asks bluntly to test if she has any reaction.
- She confirms it's a big part of it, yes.
- GM points out how happy she looked while fighting and how Sam said she was in a good mood after.
- Surprisingly, Evisse smiles as she remembers it. She admits to him that her condition has a certain quirk. When she hurts something, she is suddenly able to feel emotions for a while after depending on how much damage she did.
- GM is stunned by this, realizing he has a healer who thrives on dealing pain out. He reasons that no wonder her healing spell didn't help Sam much, Evisse literally didn't care. White magic is dependent on caring for others.
- GM asks why she became a white mage, but gets a nothing answer.
- He asks if her predilection towards violence also had something to do with her being disowned, but she ignores him and stands up off the couch. She tells GM that she'd never felt more alive than when killing all those Pinemen, and wants to keep hurting things so she can feel more emotions. That's why she wants to be close with him, so he can make her strong enough to kill even more monsters. She takes her top off and steps forward, saying she would do anything to have her emotions.
- GM marvels at her breasts but forces himself to hand her back her top. He claims to be sympathetic, but isn't going to sleep with her just like that. He says he will help her get stronger and if she ends up having longer stretches of time where she has her emotions, then maybe they will grow closer in time. He apologizes for not rushing into this with her, but she takes it alright, reminding him she can't feel sadness as she puts back on her shirt.
- She leaves his office, and Snow peaks in, seeing him suddenly all flustered. He asks how long till dinner, then says he'll tell her about what happened later but asks her to send in Peri, breasts still firmly in his mind.
Nighttime
- GM talks through the rest of the night. He has a titfuck from Peri, talks to Abigail, files the paperwork to set up an Association bank account for Evisse, and enjoys dinner with everyone even though the conversation with the healer is fresh in his mind.
- During dinner, Meri tells him all about the Shield Maiden book, mentioning some Arts she'd like to try figuring out first. Nikita is there and says while learning Arts for her class is good, she and Sam still have to learn some physical Arts. Zutiria, too, although she's evasive about attempting to learn Steel Soul even though she needs to. She promises to give it a shot tomorrow, but is not happy.
- After dinner, they go to the training yard and test out Sam's new swords, The Penetrator and Hollow Company. Zutiria doesn't even need to appraise Hollow Company, recognizing that it's made of Magicite ore, commonly used for its elemental boosting properties. She has Sam hold it out and she casts a fire spell, and the sword changes colors and its hollow pattern fills up with energy. She finally has that fire sword she wanted. Zutiria shows off how the element can change, replacing it with ice.
- The Penetrator is scanned by Zutiria, and she's like 'you're going to like this, Sam'. She tells Sam to hold the hilt out and picture a sword is coming out of it. She does, and like a toy pop up knife one quickly comes out. It's thin and extremely light, Sam isn't sure how it'll deal much damage. Zuzu explains that it has two benefits. They find out it can get like fifteen feet long, and Zutiria has everyone stand back so Sam can stab it into a training dummy.
- The sword glows once it penetrates the dummy, then the tip explodes into a shrapnel bomb. Sam is all about this, but it has a cool down of five minutes before it can be used again. They test it on a dummy with some armor on it and find out it doesn't work if it doesn't pierce, and the blade is weak so it's not going to be doing much on its own.
- GM is satisfied learning about the new swords and the scene ends.
Late Night Disturbance
- GM covers the nightly sex, but it's not shown. Instead, GM awakens hours later to Snow saying there's a repeating sound coming from downstairs. Everyone stirs awake, Meri half-sleepily mentioning she doesn't want to enter another golden penis castle.
- Snow and the maids go to check on it, then call up for him saying it's safe. He puts Sam and Meri back to bed, but Zuzu is awake anyway because nightmare.
- GM comes downstairs to find that someone just used the return gate to send back Pineman corpses. GM is shocked, Snow heads him off and tells him she already checked Evisse's room. Gone.
- Obviously there's nothing saying an adventurer can't take a quest on their own and head off late at night, but this is upsetting to him. He isn't sure whether to wake up Sam and Meri to bring her back, or just wait for her to return on her own. It's not safe while the Guild has so many enemies.
- He explains her condition and why she's out killing things on her own, all Peri and Cherry work to haul away the pile of more tree corpses back she sends back.
- Zuzu and Snow both convince him that if she gets hurt it's her own fault. Snow offers to find Nikita, but GM shakes his head. He would rather Snow help the kittens with the load. He promises to stay up with them since it's not fair Evisse forced them to wake up, but since she keeps sending wood back someone has to move it or the return gate will clog.
- They woke up at three, Evisse stops sending back corpses at five, and she warps home a few minutes later. All in all, Evisse sends back 60 pinemen. Kitties went back to sleep so Snow, Zuzu and him greet her. Evisse is positively beaming with emotion, and she's happy that he's awake. Even with emotions, she's unable to read the room. Her outfit is covered in splinters, pine needles and sap.
- She says she made sure to send all of her prey back for him so he can use them for the guild. GM thanks her, but explains how she just forced the poor kittens to have to work late into the night because of it, and reminds her that his guild has enemies and until they deal with that it's not safe to go out on their own.
- Evisse is legitimately sorry, making this even more complicated. He can't think of a polite way to say 'how dare you sneak out to make yourself have emotions', because he can't fault her. He begs her not to do this again, at least not like this. Evisse frowns and says she can't promise that because he doesn't understand 'how good it feels to feel bad about doing bad things'. He slumps over the table, trying to know what to say to this.
- Snow sighs and takes Evisse to the bathhouse, saying she needs to wash up before bed. Snow asks GM if he wants to cancel Gwin's appointment tomorrow, but he says no. He has Snow promise she'll get to sleep as soon as she washes Evisse's outfit, knowing she'll need it tomorrow.
- Now that they're alone, GM and Zutiria have a private talk. He admits to her that Luxy chose a problematic healer on purpose as a joke, which Zuzu isn't crazy about. She tries to dote on him and relieve his stress, but he insists he's ok. He just doesn't know what to do in this situation. It wouldn't be a problem if not for the DoD, but even beyond that he doesn't see how he's going to bond with Evisse. He feels that there's something between them, but that there isn't the spark like his other destined girls have.
- Zuzu tries to make him understand that if one of them doesn't work out, it doesn't have to be so bad. She encourages to do his best and see what happens with her. GM thanks her for taking care of him, and he carries her to bed bridal style.
