“I guess they took your nondisclosure agreement very seriously,” Genevieve told Harold, “But you probably should’ve just gone straight to the press. Why the heck did you think HR at this company would be ethical?”
“I don’t know! I was just trying to go by the book, I guess! I didn’t expect to be subject to the same treatment. I was trying to save you! I was trying to save all of you!”
“And now your stuck in my body, and your stuck in mine!” Genevieve switched to a whisper, “But I think I can free us if I can just reach into your back pocket...or my pocket...or whatever. I just need you to make a distraction.”
“ARE YOU GRABBING MY ASS!?” Harold shouted.
One of the other scientists came over and punched Genevieve before lecturing, “You two need to just shut up unless you want to go back to the basement.”
As he left Genevieve whispered again, “That was perfect. Just give me a few minutes, and I’ll have us untied. We’ll still be stuck in each other’s bodies, but we’ll be free...”
