Chapter 2: Shinigami

Karakura Town

Naruto sighed as he watched the new transfer student Rukia, the one he knew was the shinigami that rescued the Kurosaki family the night before.

Flashback Scene Ahead

"Now I can see why Haschwalth said he would be one of the people that will shape the coming future," Naruto muttered as he looked at Ichigo in a new light. Before, he was a human with a lot of potential, but now he could be a being that could one day rival his majesty under the right care.

Naruto watched as Ichigo gave a scream of victory as the Hollow vanished after he cut it in half, then the orange-haired teen collapsed on the ground in front of the now powerless Shinigami woman.

The blonde Quincy considered helping them, but before he could, he felt it: two powerful spiritual pressures. Then he saw a cat and a man with blonde hair wearing a bucket hat, and he recognized them instantly.

They are Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihoin, former captains of the Soul Society, and two of the people that Haschwalth had told him to avoid fighting if he could in Karakura Town.

"Why is this interesting?" Urahara stated as he approached Rukia and the unconscious Ichigo, with Yoruichi in cat form on his shoulder.

Naruto decided that it would do him no good to stay here, so he did the only thing he could and used the Quincy shadow to teleport away, not to his home, but far enough so that if the former captains sensed him, it would not lead them to his base.

Urahara and Yoruichi looked at the Kurosaki house as they sensed something, but as soon as they did, it was gone. They gave each other a look and then focused back on Rukia and Ichigo.

"That was dangerous," Naruto commented from across Karakura Town. He had gone to the edge of the town to escape detection. "We will have to be more careful or we will be detected."

Naruto said this without looking behind him, as Meninas and Shaz appeared from his shadow. They had also sensed the two new powerful shinigami and teleported away just in case so they would sense them.

"I don't think we will be able to remain undetected for long," Meninas stated as her head was in the direction of where Urahara and Yoruichi were, "sooner or later we will have to reveal ourselves."

Naruto nodded at this. Karakura Town was filled with Hollows, and it would just take one attacking him when Ichigo, or kami forbid, Urahara or Yoruichi were nearby for his secret of being a shinigami to be exposed.

"Tsk so what do you propose we do, hide like cowards or go back in the Wandenreich with our tails between our leg," Shaz said in his usual arrogant voice that made the other Quincy want to punch his face in "no thanks I say we attack and kill the shinigami and bring there head as tribute to his majesty."

"I am not saying we should retreat or hide," Naruto remarked, feeling annoyed at the other man. "We should approach them as allies, or at least I can. Ichigo and his family trust me already, so it should be easy."

"I think that's a good idea," Meninas agreed, irritated with the other Quincy, not that she cared. She had something planned for when they returned home to show Shaz the pecking order that he seemed to forget.

"I still think we should go over there and eliminate the shinigamis," Shaz stated with his arms crossed.

Naruto and Meninas ignored him for now and just waited until they sensed that the Shinigamis left the area, which was hours later. It seemed that they had repaired the Kurosaki home and altered the memories of all who witnessed the Hollow attack.

Fast Forward

Uzumaki House [Secret Quincy Base]

It was two days after the incident at the Kurosaki home, and the disguised Quincies had returned to their normal routine, which was Naruto going to school and Shaz and Meninas acting like a married couple in public. However, in private, it was a completely different story.

From that encounter, Naruto befriended the orange-haired young woman, and Orihime happily let him into her life. The Uzumaki knew she did this because she was lonely, him being an orphan in his late life, and this one, for that matter, knew the feeling too well.

"What the hell, how did that punk get so close to my princess?" said a red-haired, purple-eyed young woman in rage. She was jealous of the blonde male for getting so close to the orange-haired beauty.

Naruto listened in amusement as the class lesbian cursed his name for talking to Orihime. His eyes then trailed to his other target, Uryu Ishida. He is a Quincy, and he seems to have a grudge against shinigami—not that most Quincies don't, but his seems personal. He had been glaring at Rukia the entire time she was here.

"Knock it off, Chizuru," said a young woman with short black hair that gave off tomboy vibes. She too internally wondered when Orihime became so close to the blonde male. She looked at Naruto and could not help but blush from how he made her feel; she could see why Orihime wanted to be close to Naruto.

"Tsk, you should be more worried about Orihime, Tatsuki, the blonde brute might take her virginity if we are not careful," Chizuru exclaimed loudly making the entire class hear her including Orihime who covered her face with her hands in embarrassment as she thought of Naruto doing that with her.

The Uzumaki noticed his power had also increased, both physically and in his spiritual energy. This was greater than any boost he had gotten so far, and Menina's boost seemed to be permanent.

"I wonder what would happen if I slept with that shinigami," Naruto thought, but he came out of his thoughts when the class lesbian, Chizuru, slammed her hands on his desk.

"What are you doing with Orihime, you delinquent?" Chizuru roared in Naruto's face, but quickly regretted it as Naruto just stared at her like she was a bug he could squish at any time, making her back away and gulp.

The temperature in the room felt like it dropped, making everyone except Orihime, who was oblivious to everything. The confrontation between Naruto and Chizuru ended when the teacher, Misato Ochi, came into the room.

"Everyone get to your seats now," Ochi said as she set up a projector. Chizuru quickly got away from Naruto as fast as possible. "Take out your books because class is in session now."

As Ochi started her slideshow lesson, all of the students had one thought in their minds: they vowed to stay out of Naruto's way from now on. They didn't want to get chewed out like Chizuru and possibly get their asses beat.
