Chapter 4: Back To School

Dark Multiverse

Gotham City [Bruce Wayne Academy]

Naruto couldn't help but ponder how Bruce Wayne, also known as Owlman, managed to hide his true identity, especially since he practically shouts it to anyone with even a hint of common sense.

Wayne Academy was among the rare locations that wrongdoers avoided due to their fear of Owlman and, by extension, the criminal organization associated with him.

The academy was stunning, featuring an expansive campus equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by renowned professors from around the globe, all of whom are experts in their respective fields.

Naruto deduced that Owlman is likely utilizing the academy as a preparation site for his future minions and devoted supporters. After all, there's no better strategy for gaining loyal followers than to persuade them that you are their benefactor, leading them to willingly align with your cause.

Owlman is both intelligent and conceited, openly flaunting his access to cutting-edge technology typically reserved for Gotham's elite. Additionally, it's no secret that criminals avoid properties owned by Bruce Wayne, making it easy to deduce that Bruce Wayne is, in fact, Owlman.

Naruto attended the academy in order to connect with Talon or Owlgirl, who are the sidekicks of Owlman, with the hope that one of them would lead him to the location of Owlman's dimensional traveling device.

Talon was a thirteen-year-old punk with pale skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. He became Owlman's sidekick after a tragic incident led to his parents' deaths. This troubled youth was once part of a circus known as the Flying Graysons. However, after a disagreement with his family over a complex maneuver he wanted to perform, he acted out in anger. He tampered with the tightropes, resulting in their collapse while his parents were performing, ultimately causing their fatal fall.

This piqued Bruce Wayne's interest because he had also murdered his parents to gain access to their wealth, discovering that they intended to donate a significant portion to charity. He shot them without hesitation.

Owlman could still recall the expressions of disbelief on their faces as he fired at them---first his father, then his mother, who had merely questioned his actions. He chose not to respond, knowing she was too naive to understand that it was all about the money. There was no point in trying to explain anything to her.

As Owlman, he discovered that Richard Grayson, also known as Dick, who would eventually become his sidekick, was responsible for the death of his parents. This revelation created a sense of connection between them, leading him to take the troubled young man under his wing not to help him but to see if he would become like him, someone who saw no purpose in life.

Owlgirl, known to civilians as Barbara Gordon, is the daughter of Gotham's police commissioner, a man deeply entrenched in corruption. He has been involved in heinous activities such as human trafficking, extortion, and various other illegal dealings, all while being under the influence of Owlman.

Barbara, raised in this environment, naturally developed into a distorted individual. She became a bully who wasn't hesitant to leverage her father's influence to achieve her desires. Whether it was a new car or something else, she would simply stroll into a dealership and take what she wanted, knowing that no one would dare to intervene. Instead, they would just ask her father for payment, which he would agree to or decline based on his mood.

These were the people Naruto needed to engage with in order to use the dimensional travel device, yet he experienced a deep sense of repulsion merely by observing them. He recognized that the dark Multiverse worlds were fated for ruin if individuals like Owlman and his associates were present.

As a student, Naruto wore a dark school uniform consisting of dress pants and a shirt. If he didn't know any better, he might assume that Owlman was attempting to style the students to resemble his civilian persona, Bruce Wayne.

"Who am I fooling? That jerk probably loves the thought of a school full of mini versions of himself," Naruto mused with a sigh as he walked over to the two sidekicks.

"Hey, I'm Naruto! I heard that you two are the ones to hang out with if I'm looking to have a good time in this dull place," Naruto stated, introducing himself while observing the reactions of the two sidekicks.

Barbara wore a smile that lit up her face, her eyes glimmering with curiosity as she took in his appearance from top to bottom. It seemed she was pleased with what she observed, as she ran her tongue over her lips, and Naruto noticed a hint of desire in her gaze.

It appears that the rumors about Barbara may have some truth to them; she is often described as wild and promiscuous, reportedly having intimate relations with many of the attractive male students and faculty at the academy.

Naruto cast a quick look at Dick, fighting back a laugh at the sight of the little guy glaring at him with jealousy. The newly reborn Uzumaki had caught wind of some rumors regarding Dick; it seemed he had a crush on Barbara, who completely ignored him. She even let him watch as she slept with other men, making it clear that she didn't regard him as a romantic option at all.

"Why ain't you a bold one, Mr. Naruto," Barbara said flirtatiously as she got up and got into Naruto's personal space. "But I like that; how about me and you hang out later?"

Naruto surveyed the academy, noticing some students casting glances his way---some filled with sympathy, others with jealousy, and a few showing curiosity about his boldness in approaching the queen of Wayne Academy.

"I think that's great, but it seems like your boyfriend isn't on board with it," Naruto said, pointing at Dick, who was shooting him a glare that was more irritating than intimidating.

"Oh, don't worry about him; he's not my boyfriend and never will be---he's more like my little puppy," Barbara said with a half-smile, but Naruto could sense the seriousness behind her words. The fact that Dick didn't refute her statement made Naruto view the redhead as a more significant threat. "Unfortunately, I have some commitments to attend to for the next month, so if you can hold out here until I return, I promise to show you a great time."

"That's a letdown, but I get it," Naruto said with a feigned look of disappointment. "And don't worry, I'll be here when you come back so we can spend more time together."

Barbara chuckled at the blonde guy's response, finding herself both impressed by his boldness and conflicted about her feelings towards him. Unsure whether she wanted to take him down or get intimate, she opted for a quick kiss on the lips that lingered for just a moment.

"What are you doing, Barbara? You just met this guy and now you're kissing him!" Dick shouted in frustration. Naruto noticed that the sidekick wished it were him getting that kiss instead.

"Watch your words, Dick," Barbara said sharply, casting a quick look at the younger man. "I can do as I please with whomever I choose, so save your puppy love for yourself. Otherwise, I might just fuck Mr. Handsome here right in front of you, and you'll have to witness it like the last time."

Dick recoiled at the words of his companion, recalling the last time she had stripped him down and tied him to a chair, forcing him to watch as she was taken by another man, leaving his own manhood looking minuscule in comparison.

"Whatever," Dick said, turning his head and walking away with Barbara giggling behind him as she followed him but blew a kiss for Naruto.

The revived Uzumaki appeared cheerful on the outside, but internally he felt repulsed by the pair. He realized that in order to access the dimensional travel device via Barbara, he needed to eliminate Dick from the equation.

The blonde glanced at the students who were watching him with raised eyebrows, wondering if he had really done something so incredible just by approaching Barbara and introducing himself.

"Is there something on my face?" Naruto inquired, feeling annoyed as the students stared at him as if he were an alien. He couldn't help but find the irony in the situation amusing.

The blonde's words jolted everyone from their amazement at his bravery, and most returned to their activities. However, a few women cast curious glances at the Uzumaki.

Abandoned Apartment Complex

Raven was struggling with her thoughts; her emotions were in turmoil, particularly anger. She kept replaying the moment she found her mother's lifeless body and envisioned herself taking revenge on those who caused it.

The goth girl recognized that she ought to experience guilt, and she did feel a bit of it, but predominantly, her emotions were consumed by anger at the unfairness of life. She came into the world with a mother who struggled with addiction to drugs and sex, yet she still held love for her. This mother was the only person with whom she had any bond, and now that she's gone, the girl finds herself isolated and adrift.

"Why was I even brought into this world?" Raven wondered aloud, not really anticipating a response. However, she heard a low voice reply from behind her as she floated in and out of consciousness.

"You are living evidence of your mother's existence and the finest qualities from both of us," a deep male voice announced, causing Raven to turn in the direction of the sound, her eyes widening in terror.

Before Raven was what could only be described as Satan, he was a towering demon, standing over 15 feet tall with massive muscles. His skin was a deep red, and he sported horns on his head, complemented by four eyes.

"What are you?" Raven exclaimed in terror, attempting to distance herself from the creature looming before her. "Stay away from me!"

Rather than taking offense, the demonic creature softened his expression and remained in place to avoid scaring Raven further.

"I have no intention of hurting you, Rachel Roth. I am Trigon, and it is your intense emotions and power that have drawn me to you," Trigon declared as he observed Raven freeze at his words.

"What do you mean my energy and feelings reached out to you?" Raven inquired, though she sensed that she already knew the answer. The demon's power felt strangely familiar, almost like her own. "Who are you?"

"I believe you recognized me the moment you laid eyes on me, Rachel. I am your father," Trigon said in a theatrical manner.

"Quit calling me Rachel; I go by Raven," she said, irritated at being referred to by her real name instead of the one she had chosen. Then, her mind processed what the demon had just revealed. "What do you mean you are my father?"

"It's just as I mentioned; I am your father, and you are the daughter of Trigon. I'm here to assist you," Trigon declared, flashing a wide grin that enhanced his already sinister appearance.

Raven stared at the demon before her, mentally cursing Naruto for the chaos her life had become since meeting him. If she managed to survive this encounter with the demon, she vowed to make him pay.

A/N: Raven encounters her father Trigon, what will become of her? Will she succumb to the shadows, or will she discover her inner strength? Meanwhile, Naruto faces some curious female students and a teacher who are eager to learn more about him and what makes him bold enough to approach Barbara Gordon, the notorious psycho bitch of the Academy.
