Invasion from the planet Rockabilly

(Based on the TMNT episode "Burne's Blues)

Fresh out of college with his degree in journalism, Zach was ready to start putting his investigating skills to the test. He had already secured an internship with the local news station, something he was readily boasted about to his friends still job hunting. Though he usually failed to mention thee famous news report, April O'Neil, gave him a shining reference for the position.

April had recently been promoted to Head News Editor and President of Channel 6 after Burne Thompson retired. This decision left her fellow reporter, Vernon, rather fuming. Vern's longtime, one-sided rivalry with April usually left him with the scraps when it came to news stories. April didn't want any hard feelings between them, so she decided to let Vernon oversee the newly hired intern. After reporting to Burne for years, having a young twenty-something intern to boss around definitely appealed to Vernon's ego.

A few weeks into the internship, Zach was starting to get bored with the mundane news stories they got stuck covering. He thought he'd be covering exciting stuff like robberies or huge crime busts, especially after helping April and the Ninja Turtles in his youth.

Vernon could tell his intern was losing interest in the news. He had grown accustomed to covering the boring slice-of-life stories, but maybe this was his chance to reach for a big headliner. He could just imagine the look on April's face when he broke the biggest news story the channel had ever seen. He told Zach to meet him after hours at the news station.

That night, Vernon showed Zach his secret files of strange happenings around the city. "I've been tracking all these strange sightings for years, but the station won't give me the resources to investigate any of them. They just call them silly conspiracies." Vernon explained. "But now that I have an intern, maybe we can find the next big news scoop!"

Zach examined all the files. A lot of them talked about mutant sightings in the sewers and Zach wasn't too thrilled helping Vernon uncover the Turtles hideout. But then one file caught his eye. "What about this, strange lights in the sky, flying saucers, and even alien sightings. I've never heard about this happening around here!" Zach said with intrigue.

"Ah yes, Burne and I came across these reports years ago. Only a few blurry photos have turned up of these lights in the sky. I can't remember why we stopped investigating this, by memory is really fuzzy around that time. But I still hear stories once in a while about strange lights in the sky, especially down by the piers." Vernon said as he flipped through the file notes.

The two decided it could be an interesting story to pick back up. For the next few weeks they would pick random nights to do stakeouts down by the piers. They would interview warehouse workers and gather any blurry photos they might have captured. But there was nothing substantial to make a news story. If only they could capture some actual footage.

Weeks into the project and the pair still had nothing to show for it. They were about to give up when finally one night the unbelievable finally happened. Out over the water they spotted a disk shaped object in the sky. This was finally their chance. They drove down the pier trying to film the object, but it was too fast to get a clear shot. They reached the edge of the dock and got out of the news van. Zach tried to get his camera locked on the object while Vernon prepared himself to make news history.

"Steady that camera, kid, and make sure I'm in the frame too! Ahem, This is Vernon Fenwick coming to you with an out-of-this-world discovery. What you are seeing is undeniable proof of alien visiting out planet! Do they come in peace, or are they here to destroy us all!" recited Vernon as his locked into his news anchor persona.

"Um hey Vern, isn't that thing getting pretty close?" Zach said nervously as the craft seemed to hovering down closer to them.

Before the two could react and get back to the van, a beam of light shot down from the ship. They could feel themselves floating upwards as they scrambles to escape. But they were helplessly pulled up to the ship and into the blinding light.

Some time later, the duo awoke inside a strange room. It looked like a laboratory with odd looking machines around. They nearby window looked out into blackness of space, with the giant blue dot of earth floating by. Zach and Vern tried to get up, but found themselves pinned to the table they were laying on.

While they examined their surrounding for a way out, Vern starting feeling a strange sense of deja vu. "Why does this room look so familiar. I swear I've been here before." Vern said with pained confusion. His memories were really about to come flooding back as the door slid open and he saw the silhouettes of several figures walking in. "OH NO, I have been here before, I remember now! Burne and I were abducted just like this before! By, by those horrible creatures!

Zach was shocked by how scared Vern had become, but not as shocked as he was by the sight of these aliens walking in. Three shorter aliens lead the way, followed by a much taller alien. By the color of his clothing and stature, the taller one seemed to be the leader of the group. But what was really shocking was their appearance, as they all resembled the spitting image of Elvis. Seems all the jokes about Elvis being an alien were true in some way.

The three shorter aliens stood around Vernon's table, speaking to each other in their gibberish language. One pulled up a file on their monitor screen, it appeared to be a file on Vernon. The three all nodded to each other and then turned to Vern with menacing grins on their faces. "OH NO please, not the experiments again! Anything but that" Vern pleaded with his captures.

The three fiendish aliens reached into their suits and pulled out giant pink... FEATHERS! They slowly descended onto the helpless squirming man and zeroed in on all his ticklish spots. It was clear they had a detailed report on Vern's ticklishness because they had him laughing his head off in seconds. The Red alien had yanked Vern's shoes off and started twirling his feather over his soles, targeting the wiggling toes every so often. The Blue and Green alien went after Vern's upper body, sending him in to extreme fits of laughter when they teased his nose.

Zach was left in speechless shock as his watched his boss crumble into wild laughter. He then noticed the Alien leader standing down at the foot of his table, also sporting a very menacing grin. The large imposing alien yanked off Zach's high-top shoes and held one up to his face. Zach watched in confusion as the creature took a few long sniffs of his shoe, seeming to enjoy the stinky aroma emanating from it. Then from his pocket, the alien pulled out a remote control. With the press of a button, Zach could feel his table start to move. He watched as a giant furry roller rose up from the ground down by his feet. It pressed up right against this exposed feet and his could feel the soft material rub against his skin as he tried not to wiggle too much. Meanwhile around his upper body, four more mechanical arm emerged from the table, all sporting similar roller brushes.

Zach looked on with wide fearful eyes as the Alien pressed another button and all the brushes began spinning at high speeds. His feet were engulfed by the furry material, no matter how much he squirmed and wiggled, his feet were tickled all over. His upper body didn't fair much better as the other brushes invaded his wide open armpits and slim torso.

Both ticklish guys were thrown into uncontrolled laughter and the bizarre aliens conducted their cruel experiments. These aliens were determined to create the most thorough research on human ticklishness in the entire galaxy. And research like that could take some time...
