The odds of encountering a statue so strikingly similar to oneself, let alone in such an ancient area, were astronomically low to say the least...off-putting enough to make nearly anyone turn back. For whatever reason, she didn't. Her foolhardiness would be rewarded by a repeat of the encounter, with one key difference in perspective...
Remake of one of my original 3D works, using some newer statue techniques (and a new texture.)
Can't believe it's 4 years and 1 day since.
Also can't believe I'd do a render without defining a camera. Had to eyeball the angle...
Older version also included for comparison. The lore/story here, which involves a very annoyed sorceress tending to something that's less of a time loop and more of a time helix or spiral, petrified this poor girl probably thousands of times. Or rather, she petrified thousands of this poor girl one time apiece. So both materials "happened" on the statue here.
