remembered to separate out the different parts of my sketching phase
all my designs start with a body as the foundation, and the way that the body ends up looking will determine the features i place on top of it
very rarely do i start with any picture in mind, usually i start smacking lines down and ill follow impulses as they come to me
the reason i can do this is because i deliberately built up (and continue to add to) my own visual library, which is a type of memory recall
everything everyone draws is based on things theyve seen, so any design you or i have ever made is the result of the influence of all media consumed at that point
the more things i look at, analyze, recreate, the larger my visual library grows, and the more interconnected it becomes, meaning i can take bits and pieces of things and combine them into a new result with increased dynamism
