Checked Patreon's FAQ and it seems that discount codes on Patreon only work if you've never been subscribed to the person offering the code beforehand. Might be why it isn't showing up for me and the others who commented https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/31517382056717-Discounts-FAQ
