It's almost like the question Interlude; dream,reality asks of, "okay, I hear the dream, but where is the reality part?", is answered with the chorus of So Far Away. It's the same "dream" we hear in the interlude, but the space in between is filled with word and reality now. It's not a fully formed thought and I feel like I will need to sit with it and listen to those songs back to back a few more times to grasp this new idea but thank you for this reaction as it sparked some new things for my mind to chew on. Appreciate you ๐

Always nice to see IU, the first time I saw her was in a Kdrama (Scarlet Heart). Suga always seems to find the right words to answer questions, professional and true to his image. Not for a reaction. I'm really happy you finally got to listen to 'Agust D' it's such a good mixtape that teaches you so much about who Yoongi is. I just had a couple things to say about this so I'll get to it. First a little more context regarding Yoongi and his parents. I don't know how much you know about this but Yoongi's parents weren't supportive of him wanting to make music. That's probably why he had to fend for himself as a teenage rapper, selling his beats/songs to make ends meet. The clip you saw at the end was during the first ever concert of his that his parents attended. That's why he got so emotional. Them being here meant that they finally accepted his passion and gave him their support. I don't know how familiar you are with this aspect of the Korean culture but to make it simple Koreans bow to people to show their respect, the lower you bow the more respect you show. What Yoongi did there was a "full bow", the biggest mark of respect for a Korean person. That's how thankful he was to finally get his parent's support. And of course our angel Jimin was there by his side to support him. The other thing I had to say was in relation to something you said, I think it was Jordan who said it, about being thankful to Yoongi for saying what he said and sharing his hardships through his music. Hearing you say that could only make me think of their song 'Louder than Bombs' which is one of my all time favorite songs. You're not there yet so I won't spoil anything of the message of the song but just keep this idea in mind for when you listen to it.

Yoongi is incredibly brave for talking about his struggles and also, wow he trusts us so much with his story. Its kinda crazy to think that many artists hide their struggles and here's yoongi offering his story to us. Freely. It brings me to tears every time i realize that. And to reference what Yoongis letter was about, you'll hear him say similar things about ARMY in the other docuseries they have. He understands the ridicule, struggles, battles armys go through. And he's empathetic, never condensing nor belitting to his fans, which they know are predominantly young women. All this combines to the root of why ARMYs go so hard for the members: its mutual love and respect. Cant wait for D2.

I struggle with depression since I'm 25 and last year I had my very first panic attack during a course at the dentist. I'll never forget the helplessness and anxiety in this moment. Suga always find the right words to descripe his feelings. He really is a genius. I didn't knew his letter to Army, there is no other artist in the world who would do that. As some others mentioned please watch the Suchwita Episode with txt and IU's Palette Episode with him. It's fascinating to watch like he can't have eyecontact with IU in the beginning and later he became more and more open. There also is an interview Suga did with Agust D on Disney+ Korea. ๐ Can't wait to watch your reaction to D-2! ๐ซฐ Borahae!

The Last and So Far Away make me cry, and honestly, I'm a 2019 ARMY and it was hard for me to get into Agust D the mixtape at the start. Because I'd heard it talked about his struggles and I was going through something similar, I felt like it would hit too close to home. I got to listen to it sometime after when I was feeling better, and it always struck me how incredibly brave Yoongi was for doing this. Talking about his anxiety and the things that hurt takes SO MUCH and for him to share that with us... I can't imagine having to immerse yourself in all that pain all over again. But he did. And the more I get to know BTS and especially Yoongi whether as Agust D or Suga, I'll always appreciate how brave he was (all of them) for dreaming. To be as young as he was to know what he wanted to be and to work and fight so hard for it takes so much courage. I remember he said before that being an idol allows his message to reach more people than if he was an underground rapper. I'll forever be thankful that he and RM chose this path bc then they were able to share their hearts and minds and pains and hope with us. If they stayed underground, we wouldn't be having any of this. Super excited for you to dig into D-2! You'll note the tone and sound change and that makes me so curious to see how D-Day will sound like. I already know it's gonna heal me ๐ but also, like others have said, check his BTS solo songs as well!

About the clip at the end: Yoongi has said his parents did not support him trying to be a rapper at first (and you can see other difficulties b/w them in the Last when he says his parents told the doctor they don't even know him now that he's struggling) so he was ovrecome when they showed their support by coming to the concert. He is crying in emotion, but there is also a cultural aspect -- he is kneeling and bowing to his parents to show his deepest respect/gratitude for them. The person next to him is Jimin--unsurprisingly, since Jiminie is always on alert when his members need comfort.

But yes, this mixtape and Suga in general has this ability to gut-punch me with everything he does... I just wanna preface this by saying that I hate comparing the rappers in BTS (and I would never do it), but when I say Suga is my favourite, it isn't because I think he's better than the other two. It's because of the way he raps, his cadence and raw emotion resonate with me on another level. I find his passion practically tangible through both his lyrics and music. โจโจ Btw that censor/beep you heard in THE LAST is a reference to attempted/contemplated suicide. Usually when in therapy the first thing you're asked is if you've ever tried/thought of harming yourself...and Suga basically says he's been there before. Im glad you guys caught that, cuz mental health is a pretty taboo subject in SK, isn't talked about much, especially not at the time of this mixtapes release). Suga took a very courageous step in opening himself up to ARMY. Yoongi's lyrics practically bleed his entire life story, he's cut himself open and left his hanging carcass for people to poke and prod at and that alone makes him one of the strongest people.

They said they were at that concert when he started crying...They asked him about it...Suga spoke about how it came about and how he was feeling at that time. I relate to him the most of all the members bc of social anxiety, depression and being misunderstood as cold even though I'm a softy inside. I relate to Yoongi in so many aspects, from our personalities to our struggles. It's so weird to think about since I'm from Mexico and he's from South Korea and he is also 12 years older than me. Every day I hope he and the rest of the members feel happier for everything they have done for me and I thank them for saving me 2 years ago. Anyways, I'm also very thankful to you two, I know have something to look forward to three times a week. I feel like that is the single most important piece of content I ever came across that made me feel like I understood Yoongi better. It would have been so easy for him to just let the narrative that he didn't perform because of "nausea" stand and be done with it. Instead he felt he owed ARMY an explanation. I have never seen another artist be so raw and open with their fandom, knowing how many haters they have who would just love to mock them and twist their words, it's brave. This is all the more powerful knowing that mental health issues are really not addressed in Korea like they are in the west, again...bravery.

Not even 2 weeks after discovering BTS I came across the Agust D mixtape and being someone who has suffered of Depression and social anxiety for more that a decade I felt like finally somebody understood what I was going through. Many times I tried to explain my family and close friends what I felt during my very bad days but I just didnโt have the words to describe it but itโs like Min fucking Yoongi ripped the words out of my soul and made them flow on his sick beats. The first time I listened to The Last I cried my eyes and heart out because I could relate even with the scene he describes about the psychiatrist, my mom said the same thing about me. And yes, when you go to a psychiatrist one of the very first questions they ask you is if you ever tried to commit you know whatโฆ Anyway, that day I cried for me because finally I felt understood and I cried for him too because I knew he was going through the same horrible things I was. So after that cathartic and liberating experience of just let myself cry as much as I needed, I just knew I would support this group of amazing human beings no matter what for a loooong time if not for the rest of my life. Another song that touch deep into my soul is First Love, Yoongi said he cried so much while recording and he decided to leave that part because it felt more raw and real. Canโt wait for you guys to check it out.

I knew something was off but I never really looked into it. I avoided people, lost all my friends, and isolated myself in my college dorm. I was alone for a while and then I discovered BTS. I like hip-hop. When I realized they had rappers, I dug deeper into their work. This album made me realize I had anxiety. For the first time, I went to counseling and they diagnosed me with Social Anxiety Disorder (more commonly known as social phobia). I've come a long way since then. Actually, literally today, I talked to my therapist and I might not need therapy anymore or as often. Then, someone randomly came up to me today and we had lunch together. Today has been a full-circle experience. This album guided me into therapy and out. I'm so happy and thankful for BTS and ARMY.

Listen to the Last with headphones in the dark and you can feel the rawness in his voice. I am not a proficient Korean speaker by any means but you were talking about the line in So far Away, I think KKumi means dream and itdamyeon is from the verb i-sseo-yo to have + Myeon (if) so If I have. Korean speakers, correct me if I am wrong.

I can relate and sharing about it is hard. I'm so glad you finally got to this. You got to see more than just a badass rapper. When you first see BTS, Suga comes across as cool and a little cold and tough. When you really get to know him, through his lyrics, you see that he is so much more than that.
