Shenanigans on the Distribution Front

You’ve probably heard by now that Visa and Mastercard have been putting pressure on platforms like Itch.io and Steam to crack down on adult-themed games. Itch has responded by temporarily removing ALL NSFW titles from distribution, The Dented Kettle included. At the moment, this seems to be a temporary action while they review their policies and payment systems.

I want to be very clear: this doesn’t change anything about me continuing development. The game is still moving forward exactly as planned.

If Itch ends up unable to host the game long-term, I’ll explore other platforms, or set up my own website if it comes to it. Whatever the case, I’ll make sure the game stays available for those who want it.

It’s a bit of an unexpected bump in the road, but it hasn’t changed my plans or my excitement for the game. Thanks so much for sticking with me; it truly means a lot.
