Happy Birthday Reya!

Just want to share that little Reya just turned 3 years old recently! Such a huge milestone in breastfeeding context! I recently was at one of my daughters volleyball games, and Reya was in my lap, pressing her hands on my chest asking for bee bee's💜 A fellow mother was sitting next to me. We actually were having a conversation about motherhood and pregnancy. She is near having another baby and expressed interest in breastfeeding! She had before, but not for very long. She expressed that she never did it for long because she was worried what people would think about her! And also worried her baby would breastfeed for too long! Ahem! I told her there is more positive than negative, and don't worry about what anybody thinks! But that the world health organization recommends at least 2 years and beyond! Supplement with approproate foods after six months! She thought, if they breastfeed they don't eat food! So, I gave her some knowledge, this is what I am here for! You just worry about you and your baby and know you are giving your baby the absolute best start in life! Nothing can replicate breastmilk, it is made of living cells. Supports you and your baby immune system. Produces oxytocin a feel good hormone released during breastfeeding and also orgasms, hugging, kissing. You are less likely to develope post partum depression! Your uterus and hormone regulation is naturally stablized and will shrink down faster. Less likely to have a uterine hemorrage. Respiratory infections and diarrhea will less likely happen, protects your child from developing diabetes and obesity later in life. Also, may prevent, infant death. This is serious! Formula is made in a factory, it is not alive and it does not protect the immune system. Can cause damage to the childs gut, diarrhea and respitory infections are common. How about how Hospitals violate the world heath organization code on formula offering and advertising!
This mother was blown away, the average woman is NOT educated on the realities and benefits regarding breastfeeding. And seeing me breastfeed my 3 yr old in public, as a normal biological action was gold! I believe, I was placed there at the right time. This mother needed to see me and learn. I think we changed her vision for life. What a blessing🙏She was very thankful.
