I find that many things done without even a fragment of love end up burning out, are totally short-lived and sometimes a one off. Let's make taking care of ourselves a HABIT. The best way to do that is to truly fall in love with doing it.
For me, taking care of myself is: moving my body, filling my brain with good books and music, listening to my heart and only doing things that I'm comfortable with. For a while I felt guilty spending too much time doing these things because it would take away from what I thought I 'had to do.' BUT I find that when I do these things, I'm more capable of doing the work and tasks that I have to do. This sounds dramatic, but I am less irritable while I'm doing them, because I take the time to pour into myself so I don't feel so lifeless and empty.
This May, let's focus on falling in love with taking care of ourselves ❤️
Like last month, I've enlisted my endlessly talented friend Anna to take a stab at creating some May wallpapers from her POV as well. So you have plenty of options this month!
