Itchio Shadowbans ALL NSFW Games - What You Need to Know

Hey everyone. I feel you all deserve to know what's going on and I find it worth to put out a statement.

Itch has recently put out a blog post regarding NSFW games and new restrictions put on by payment processors such as Mastercard, Visa, and PayPal. You might have seen that you can no longer look for NSFW games on Itch at all.

At 6:00 CST on the 23rd (yesterday as of writing this post), Leafo, the site owner of Itch posted a single emoji - 🫡 - to the Itch news channel that exploded the Itch discord into conspiracy. Shortly after this, around 7:00 CST, *ALL* NSFW games were de-indexed, meaning you cannot find them on the website.

Hours later, a blog post from itch was released regarding the de-indexing. You can find it here if you're interested, but I'll give you the short version here.

Essentially, the post states:

- Itch is not banning all NSFW content.

- But they are hiding it (deindexing) from search and discovery for now.

- This is in direct response to external pressure from Collective Shout and payment processors (Visa/Mastercard, Stripe, etc.).

- They’re reviewing everything as fast as possible to avoid losing the ability to process payments entirely.

- Some games will be permanently banned, but not all.

For us, this means going over all of our previous games and making sure they comply with the new restrictions.

I, and the team, understand that you guys might be disappointed to see that our games are no longer available on Itch for now. We've done this ourselves as a precautionary measure while we go over all of our content to ensure that it complies with these new guidelines. We have NOT been banned from Itch.

This does mean that we will have a delay in releasing our new Only Mods and Hotwife Hotline game.

The whole team was really excited to finally put out some new content given that we know everyone has been waiting for more, but this is necessary to ensure that we can continue making games in the future.

We hope you'll continue having the amazing patience you've displayed so far and support us through this time as we purge infringing content from our games and get them up and running again. We don't expect the delay to last for long and we'll be sure to keep you all updated.
