Commission Hiatus
Added 2020-12-13 23:47:11 +0000 UTCHey gang, if you follow me on Twitter or perhaps Tumblr, you've probably seen my post stating I plan to take a break from commissions. There are a few reasons why but I'd like to focus on a couple of projects, such as getting my comic started and focusing on Patreon. I can't do that when I have multiple commissions to work on.
It's not something I decided lightly. I've been steadily working on commissions for the past five years and only paused for things like travel, holidays, or illness. Cal has been asking this of me for months now and the time is right. I've been mentally exhausted with my depression and I need to cut loose something for a little bit so I can relax and not suffer some major burnout. As it is, I'm still working on the pinup for this month, and that's a bit unusual for me, but that's just a clear example I need less crowding on my plate.
I'll still be running my Patreon and I'll still have the requests, which will be somewhat changing the start of next year. I'll also announce it here first when I'm getting ready to reopen my commissions.
Commissions close on the 18th and will be about one to two months of commission downtime unless something financially pops up.
I'm very fortunate I'm able to close commissions for a while, I know some artists don't have that luxury, and if it weren't for Cal also having an income, I likely wouldn't be closing them.
So that's it. I wanted to explain myself and keep a clear and honest channel with you guys. Again, nothing will be closing here, just my commissions for a short duration, till I get back on track.
