Back in the day they used what is called a Chamber Pot kept near or under the bed, today Hella what you're thinking about is a Bedpan used in hospitals or at home.

Daenarys and her people land on Dragonstone, which is where the first Targaryen who came to Westeros - Aegon the Conqueror - landed when he and his sisters flew in on dragons from Esteros and started conquering the seven kingdoms.
King's Landing was built later to serve as a capital city. But Targaryens still used Dragonstone as their family home (similar to how Lannisters might be in charge and leading from King's Landing but the family home is Casterly Rock; also, when King Baratheon ruled from King's Landing, the Baratheon home was still Storm's End).
Daenarys was born on Dragonstone in the middle of a storm (thus "Daenarys Stormborn") before she and her brother were smuggled out and into Esteros to avoid the wrath of Robert during Robert's Rebellion.
Dragonstone is where the dragon glass is - which Sam just read about at The Citadel. He mentioned that the Targaryens used it to decorate their armor, not knowing its usefulness in killing White Walkers. It's one of the farthest Eastern points in Westeros.
You're right that it's where Stannis was operating from earlier in GOT. During Robert's Rebellion, Stannis and his men took Dragonstone (although Daenarys and her brother were already smuggled out). That's where those fighting for the Targaryens had them surrounded and they were starving (as Stannis mentioned in the past) and they started having to eat rats, dogs, etc. Davos, who was a smuggler and worked with pirates at that time, managed to find a sneaky way in and bring onions and other goods to Stannis, his family, their men.
That's what created the bond between Stannis and Davos, and it started the process of him serving Stannis and Stannis making Davos a Lord. He's often referred to as "The Lord of Onions" and it's because of this.
When the war was done, Stannis still kept Dragonstone.

Consider House of the Dragon when you finish GOT.

Hella seemed very excited to see Ed Sheeran. She may like to know that he is a very nice guy in real life. I filmed him two times, each time a year apart, in a small performance room for a radio station. Both times when we had downtime, he went out of his way to talk to me. Asking about my day and how things were going and how I liked my job. He didn’t have to do this, and many other stars I filmed treated the cameraman like I didn’t exist.
But twice he went out of his way to be nice to me, so I always like to tell that story when he comes up.

Chi: "That's how they learn about humans in the past."
Me: "That's still how we learn about humans today."

Wouldn't the spin-off show prequel be the more logical choice, "House of the Dragon"

Hella said a couple of weeks ago that she wants to study the map of Westeros - well here is where that would be useful :) Dear Hella, feel free to look up the map of Westeros and learn where the most important places are!
They landed in Dragonstone at the end of the episode. Dragonstone is an island on the east coast of Westeros, Cersei and Jaime were talking about it next to that huge map of Westeros on the floor at the start of the episode. It is originally a Targaryen home, but you are right, it was given to Robert's brother Stannis (after Robert's rebellion), and we saw this place in Season 2 when Stannis and the Red Woman were there.
So it made a lot of sense that Daenerys landed there with her army. Can't wait for the remaining of the season! As much as some people complain, I found several of the remaining episodes of the show very epic and enjoyable :)

They've had problems with not seeing things in the past, like the 'traitor' cross before Jon got stabbed. Or a lot of the faceless man scenes.

They landed on Dragonstone at the end of the episode; the ancestral home of House Targaryan gifted to Stannis after Robert's Rebellion. It was where Daenerys was born and also from where her ancestors conquered Westoros 300 years previously

After GoT I'm recommending Spartacus: Blood and Sand to the ladies. I feel like it can have a similar feel to GoT.

If you want another show try "Battle Star Galatica", the 2000's version. It is one of the best TV shows ever made (also one of the ebst sci-fi shows) and I think you will like it. It won all kinds of awards. It's only 4 seasons.

oh yeah this is the Ed Sheeran Cameo lol
Ed Sheeran’s cameo in Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 1 ("Dragonstone") was a creative decision by the show’s producers, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, to include a high-profile celebrity as a nod to fans and to leverage his star power.
Specifically, they wanted to surprise Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), because she was a big fan of Ed Sheeran

At the end of the episode, Dany and Tyrion are at DRAGONSTONE. This is where Stannis was previously, and this is where Sam just learned that all the dragon-glass is located.
The Archmaester doing the autopsy and talking to Sam is Jim Broadbent. You may not have recognized him but he played the Chief of Police in Hot Fuzz, Inspector Butterman. It's always hard for me to see him in a new role and not think about cake.
I really like the journey The Hound goes on in this series. Great work from a very tall actor. :)
You are getting close to the end of this series. After this I would suggest...
THE BOYS. It's a superhero show but not like Marvel at all. It's wild. I think it would make for a strong reaction.
STRANGER THINGS. If you haven't seen it already, it's a very popular Netflix TV show that takes a lot of inspiration from Stephen Speilberg movies and is about a group of kids in the 80s.
BREAKING BAD. Sort of like Sicario the TV show, but from a different perspective.

It's Dragonstone where Dany was born and where the drsagonglass is.
You're a lot closer to the end than you think. Season 7 has 7 episodes and season 8 only 6 episodes. Everything moves faster now.

The opening scene with the Freys is your happy ending. Sorry, but that's it.
Cersei is pure poison. Being loved by her is a death sentence every time.
