P.s. in Push she co stars with a young captain America πŸ˜€ and war of the worlds tom Cruise πŸ‘

Dakota Fanning is the young girl. She was brilliant Denzel and her work together again in the equaliser 3 when she is grown up. You would enjoy her other movies as well. May I recommend The equaliser 3, Push ,uptown girl, and war of the wolds. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0266824/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

Another great Denzel movie you should watch is Glory from 1989

WellRoundedLeo

I just realized the journalist is the woman from Total Recall. 1990. That woman aged very well.

Manospondylus

Other Denzel Washington movies to watch: Fallen, Malcolm X, The Pelican Brief, The Inside Man

Marc Rkatek

"When you kill someone's sunshine, its gonna get dark" could have been an alternate tagline for this movie. Good one.

Lucky Card

How about another real classic love story (Love Story) for you old timers out there.

IggyD

Other great movies starring Denzel Washington I recommend watching are "Malcolm X" (1992) and "Fallen"(1998)

Francisco

Awesome movie. I hope you girls will react to the movie "A Quiet Place" (2018) someday. Would love to see what you think.

Paul De'Armond

Not a real story. It's an adaptation of a fiction novel from 1980.

Alec Dacyczyn

Rewatch the ending. He gets shot in the head lol and they put the text on screen that he is killed during a court arrest. Kind of a strange addition to the film imo.

Henry N.

Yes!!! I literally just commented this!!! πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

If you're thirsty for more blood, I recommend another mexico/crime film called Sicario (2015) 🀣 If not, I recommend two 80s comedies: -Adventures in Babysitting (1987) -The Breakfast Club (1985)πŸ₯Ή

Daryl

This was a great choice. It's nice to see how much you enjoy these revenge movies. I think you are Professionals.

Grumpy Monk

To paraphrase: "Kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out" ~ has a historical origin dating back to the Albigensian Crusade in 1209 πŸ‘»πŸͺ¦

From a Catholic standpoint Creasy trading his life for Pita's life, is considered the ultimate self-sacrifice and would more than likely mean he would get into heaven.

Matt Jamison

I heard that "The Equalizer" was the spiritual re-imagining/continuation of The Man On Fire. (in another universe) This would explain why "she" appeared in the 3rd movie as an adult.

Poor Hella! This has been a rough week for you!! I am going to recommend you all watch a comedy soon!😁 I don't remember much about the original Man on Fire movie but it is interesting that the main character was played by Scott Glen, who was in Training Day with Denzel. He was the old man that was shot by Denzei's character and then had his money stolen. I do remember liking the original movie though, so it might be worth checking out some day, even if not for the channel. Hella, I hope you have a better weekend!

Jeffrey Roberts

Off topic, but do y'all have any plans to watch The Untouchables and Carlito's Way? I noticed you've watched Scarface. Obviously that's a classic, but IMO the afore-mentioned are better. All Brian DePalma films.

Jason Brugger

For whomever requested this....HATS OFF!! 🀠🚬

Mark W

Why do I love it so much when you two get so thirsty for blood during a great movie like this? Hahaha, so fun to watch with you :)

Bare Thomas

Not every movie needs a happy ending, but The Voice not getting what he deserves is frustrating.

Dav Cald

Hella's cheater side eye always gets me. "You have a wife... right?"

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

The backblast from that RPG totally killed all those birds. πŸ˜„

Manospondylus

Sicario next

-

Yes, I thought of him too when I saw the notification. He was pretty persistent. I hope he's still here; he certainly wouldn't want to miss this reaction.

Digitalversager

It seems like Danzel Washington has redeemed himself in the eyes of the ladies. It's a great movie; I haven't seen it in a long time. If you want to see more from Danzel Washington, I recommend The Equalizer trilogy; those movies are a bit more action-focused, a bit like John Wick. And The Book of Eli is an awesome post-apocalyptic movie. One of my favorite Danzel Washington movies. That was an awesome reaction, ladies, as always!πŸ’œ

Digitalversager

Tony Scott and Denzel Washington did a handful of movies together. "UNSTOPPABLE" and "Crimson Tide" are a couple of more great heart beating thrill rides.

Tony P.

Brilliant Masterpiece for me !!! The cinematography of Tony Scott is magic. Perfect mix of all the intense action and all the tender emotions throughout the movie between Denzel Washington and a 9 year old Dakota Fanning, especially when he tried so hard not to get too close to Pita and the family but his new found love made him sacrifice it all for her. Yes he even found music again. He did end up dying painting his own masterpiece. Great acting by everyone !!!

Tony P.

It’s interesting that at the end, Chi said that she wished Creasy had a bomb hidden with him. In the alternate ending, Creasy is still alive when he’s brought to Daniel. However, Creasy has the same kind of β€œhidden” explosive in him, and the movie ends with him blowing up the house with Daniel. Personally, I prefer the original ending because it’s more powerful. Edit: Also, the original β€œMan on Fire” with Scott Glenn is good too, but takes a much darker turn in some areas.

Raymond Lee

I love this one. Denzel just being peak Denzel and Dakota another great child actor. This movie got much more darker for me once I learned these type of kidnappings have been regular occurrence in Mexico for pretty much forever, and the actual stories can be worse for some victims. The movie did a good job showing the grief of what a family goes through.

Dajefe70

I truly believe that if Mexico didn't celebrate death every November, their land wouldn't be so damned. They need to celebrate life, not death.

Milvo

More Denzel Washington please. I know, I said that last week and here we are! BUT he has so many great movies and almost none of his movies are bad. I hope you keep him on your short list. I promise he doesn't always die at the end of his movies. :)

David Collins

I know, right? "Not in their house" - that cracked me up, it's such a practical reaction to such an intense moment in the movie. This is why Munchies are the best!

David Collins

Sicarrio and Old Country for Old Men are both superior recommendations. I consider Denzel Washington a national treasure, I have liked every movie he has starred in. To add to the recommendations, American Gangster, and Denzel's Equalizer series.

TippedDuke

This film is not based on a real-life event but on a fictional book. The book was inspired by real-life kidnappings, but not one particular incident. Tony Scott is the director here. He also did the first Top Gun and collaborated with Denzel Washington a lot. He's also the younger brother to Ridley Scott, the director of Alien and Blade Runner. The Munchies still need to watch Blade Runner. Near the beginning of the film, Creasy asks for a "Jack and water". Jack Daniels is a very popular brand of whiskey, so Jack and water is exactly what it sounds like. Near the end of the movie, The Voice's Wife mentions that they have to "Page" him. That means that they send him a message on a beeper/Pager. Another good Denzel thriller to watch is FALLEN. If you want more movies that feel like this that deal with Mexico, you might like SICARRIO - that word means assassin in Spanish. You might also like NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. Both are great films and would fit nicely with your current crime movie journey.

Steven

"Forgiveness is between them and God, it's my job to arrange the meeting" You messed with the wrong man, what a BadAss !!!!!

Tony P.

My recommendation to them is to react to popular TV shows but make them Patreon exclusive. Other reactors do it and I think it would drive a lot more people to their Patreon. They could start with S1 of True Detective. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Henry N.

29:53 haaaahhah oh Chi, never change =p

Thalanoth

Anyone remember that guy that used to request Man on Fire on every single reaction vid? I wonder if he's still with us lol. I know munchies remember him.

Henry N.

You should watch the show Succession, great writing and characters. Let's make it happen : )

Mike G

Denzel's best IMO. Also Equalizer and Book of Eli is worth the watch.

Milvo

Im still in suspense for Raimi spiderman, but still great surprise

Ty and Leona

Woot woot!

Ty and Leona

This is good and all, but are we getting Karate Kid II?

Alex Anderson

The best part is when Alice fought the dogs.

Imperial Mort

Munchies on Fire! πŸ”₯

Prof. Writhms

Despite how much Chi disliked his character in the last movie, the Munchies have returned for Denzel round two! Great choice ladies.
