The minimum security Federal prisons, (which house mostly white collar criminals (those who commit non-violent crimes)) are often referred to as 'Club Fed' (a play on the French resort chain 'Club Med') due to the relatively resort like facilities provided to the inmates housed in these prisons.

Great react video, girls! Check out Leo’s movie The Departed! It’s a mafia movie, which I know you like, and it’s his best one. Thank you for all the joy, love you all!

Chris Rouse

Also, if we are going in on some Leo movies, here are a "few" of my suggestions: The Departed, Shutter Island, Killers of the Flower Moon, The Aviator, Gangs of New York(Scorsese films), (Earlier films)This Boy's Life, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Basketball Diaries, The Quick and the Dead, Romeo + Juliet,(Shakespearean Language may go over your heads but good movie to me) The Man in the Iron Mask, The Beach, Catch Me If You Can(Steven Spielberg film), Blood Diamond(Edward Zwick film), Body of Lies(Ridley Scott film), Inception(Christohpher Nolan film), J. Edgar(Clint Eastwood film), The Great Gatsby, The Revenant, Don't Look Up. I mentioned a few directors because you all watched some of their movies before.

RichieBIV

It has probably already been mentioned, but the REAL Jordan Belfort was the guy at the end of the movie who introduced Leo at the seminar.

I admittedly had not joined this Patreon channel yet. Although I had considered it for sometime. Probably since Dracula Dead and Loving it haha. The reason I joined this day was to tell that I am disheartened in whatever has caused the Youtube channel to have gotten taken down. If this was Chi's own decision I can understand that since it is her channel. If it was Youtube who took down the channel that seems unfair since there are many other channels who upload similar content in much bigger numbers who seem to be doing just fine.

hamjam

Has the YouTube channel been closed?

"He married his cousin" was part of a larger joke. He did not marry his cousin

73. Rule of thumb in the states never say anything to the police. You never say anything that will incriminate yourself. You never help them with their investigation. And they need a warrant to enter into anyone's home. And if they violate your constitutional rights, you can file a lawsuit and receive a settlement from their county. He could have kept his company going but he didn't settle with the deal he was offered and it is typical for a woman to leave when the party is over. She was very beautiful and because of that beauty she could get anyone which is why it is very important to choose wisely who you want to spend your life with. Women don't know the way but some men do. Guide you safely in this life.

I second reacting to the departed as many have said in this thread. It's not my favorite Scorsese film but I think you would enjoy it.

Henry N.

I would add Nolan's prestige in there (no DiCaprio but Christian Bale and David Bowie)

The scene on the boat 🛥️ when he tried to bribe the cop is my favorite scene. Leonardo is a brilliant actor. You can study his mannerism micro expressions delivery tone ect. Everything’s on point down to the smallest detail. Dude had me dying laughing out loud. The way he put on his sunglasses and laughed at the cop when he said he was going to seize his yacht 😎😄😂

Satoru

And «Gangs of New York»

aaarskog

The Departed also.

Milvo

Him not being evil in this is definitely debatable.

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

Yeah, movies like this are like metal detectors for people with red flags. It's a great movie and nothing wrong with enjoying it, but if someone misses that very important subtext... its like Hela said "This is sick."

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

So it seems to end around the 1990s based on the tv shows and style

Leonardo DiCaprio acting + Martin Scorsese directing = amazing movies. Check out Shutter Island, another great movie with Leo as lead actor and Scorsese as the director.

“Pink Sheets” (companies below certain market valuations) are completely legal, the odds of investments in them growing is just much less likely, but possible. Had Jordan just stuck to selling those using his Wall Street skills, he would have very likely been able to transition his firm to a typical firm just like Morgan Stanley or Fidelity etc. fairly quickly due to the commissions he was making. But he got too greedy.

fan

You should watch "what's eating Gilbert grape" it has Leonardo Dicaprio and Johnny depp

Chris W

I've always thought of this movie as a high degree of financial savvy meets low emotional maturity.

Steven Roy

I've had friends who wanted to be like Jordan Belfort. There was even rap song/music video called Jordan Belfort that one of my friends produced. Martin Scorsese often makes films that glamorize the main characters, (Travis Bickle, Goodfellas, Wolf of Wall street) but their is always a hidden subtext of the film as a cautionary tale of greed and self destruction. It's even a famous meme: https://bit.ly/4iRO4MB

Henry N.

Both of these are excellent recommendations! Believe it or not, The Departed was the first time Scorsese won an Oscar for direction. Madness!

Duncan

If you watch this movie backwards: It's the story of a pen salesman that does a lot of drugs and spends a fortune partying with his friends to eventually find his true love :D

Proto Type

If you want to see more movies with DiCaprio, I would reccomend: -"The Departed", a mafiamovie from 2006 directed by the same director as Wolf of Wall Street (Scorsese). -"Inception", from 2010 which is more of av scifi-thriller kind of movie. Its dircted by Christopher Nolan. (The same guy who directed the "Black Knight-triology" of Batmanmovies.)

aaarskog

Yes, that's his real name. And he is still alive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_Belfort

Alec Dacyczyn

This is actually one of those Scorcese movies that I’ve not seen yet. Usually I like to watch reactions to movies and shows I’ve already seen. In this case I’ll make an exception 🙂

Duncan

"douchebag genius" does kind of describe him. He's very smart but uses it to scam people. Amazing character though. Love this film.

Eric Muirhead

What's Eating Gilbert Grape = Johnny Depp + Leonardo DiCaprio \m/

Proto Type

American Psycho (2000) is also about Wall Street. :)

Manospondylus

love this movie haha but it gets me in the mood to party LOL

Jeremy McCabe

That was an awesome reaction, ladies, and a great conclusion from you three at the end. I think one of the biggest problems of our time is that almost everyone wants to get rich quickly and easily. Without considering the consequences or what they might have to sacrifice for it. "If your life can change overnight, then something's wrong." Wise words from Chi. If you want to see more from Leonardo DiCaprio, I'd like to recommend the movie Blood Diamond. It's a great movie that, unfortunately, is mentioned far too rarely.

Digitalversager

If you ladies really enjoy Leonardo DiCaprio, you should watch Catch Me if you Can! Super fun movie that also stars Tom Hanks (Castaway, Forest Gump).

Joel Purvis

Do another Martin Scorsese film! “The Departed”! It also stars Leo DiCaprio!!! 😆😆😆

Daryl

fantastic news

matthew

Fun fact. The guy who introduces Jordan Belfort at the sales seminar at the end of the movie is the real Jordan Belfort

Ryan Alexander

I really like never knowing what movies will drop from week to week, and most of the time it's really great, like this one is.

PapaXan

Yay! More Leo! At least he’s not evil in this like he was in Django. Great pick ladies. And we get all three ladies today too.
