Band of Brothers Ep 7 Reaction

Band of Brothers Ep 7 Reaction

The bad leader doesn't have to mean that they're a bad person (though given encountering enough of them, one of them is likely to also be such), but they could just not be what the situation/mission/milieu/personnel need in the way of commanding capabilities, logistics, tactics, or charisma. In another time and/or place they might be just fine and good to know in acquaintance or even friendship.

Yep... Dike. Unfortunately knew at least one fairly much like him at every command I was at, whether officer or senior nco. But one has to work with those types in civilian life/careers, too... so it's not like I'm saying anything most others couldn't identify with.

Another great emotional reaction from you. I have seen this series a number of times and enjoy watching it along with you again. 3 more episodes left. Getting closer to the end. It is war and still some sadness ahead but smiles and joy are coming too. Can't wait to watch reaction to episode 8.

One of my uncles was in the Battle of the Bulge, and he was severely wounded by an artillery shell hitting a tree, as was shown in episode 7. He survived with a metal plate in his head. Artillery was the deadliest weapon on the battlefield.

Tinker Greg

should try the pacific mini series similar to this =)

Love watching your reaction to this series. Lieutenant Dyke was relieved of command and survived the battle. There are some men of Easy who thought he might have been wounded. You mentioned it would be nice if there was an episode with the men relating some memories. You are in luck. There is a bonus episode of just the men who actually served. The title is "We Stand Alone Together: The Men of Easy Company." The actors who portrayed these men went through a much abbreviated military boot camp run by the actor who plays Colonel Sink the 506th commander. The actor is Captain Dale Dye, a former Marine. He is a technical advisor and actor.

Here's a link to help you ladies out with the Army's military units and their hierarchy of command and control of their soldiers. I really enjoy all of your reactions and appreciate the time and effort. This episode was really a tough one to get through. Keep up the awesome work and see ya'll on the next one.
