Development Update #19 - July 31, 2017

Hey Buckey, thanks for the feedback! About the "milking." I'm not trying to give anyone false promises, or make a bazillion episodes of the game. If I was all about the money, I'd stop giving out the free version altogether. But I understand, there has been precedents where some creators betrayed their supporters in the past. I'm not going to be one of those creators.

It's probably the "preadtor" feeling that people get at the night scenes, and the excitement of the situation. You know, "what if she wakes up?" type of thing. I personally enjoy them, or let's say I'd enjoy them if I didn't make them myself :D And the "action choices".. That's a good point, I'll try to add more of those:)

Hey Coldespada, thanks for the nice words again! Haha, I'm glad you liked the cabin scene, the hiking idea actually came from my girlfriend, I have to give her credit for that, she kickstarted my mind with that idea, and that's how I ended up with the cabin scene. And a shower with mom? There are things to think about there;)

Thanks for taking the time to type a wall of text, I like it! You are right, I'm probably stressing it too much, but that's just how I am. But of course, I have a vision, and I don't want to deviate too much from that. About Jenna, she has a strong personality, but as the MC's power grows, she slowly succumbs to her inner desires (hehe) and that's what we see at the end of EP5. The thing I meant about the teasing was that it's time to turn up the heat. Not to eleven, but you know, higher :)

gotta be real dude, the last episode felt short (but that's because of structure not content so i'm okay with it). The one criticism that does land home is the teasing it's good that it's coming to an end because it was starting to piss me off if i was being honest. With patreon stuff i'm always hesitant because i dont want to be sucked into supporting something thats just an exercise in milking patrons.

If I'm being honest, it did feel a touch short at first, but then I played through two more times and it was all good. :) Definitely don't rush past teasing if it doesn't feel right, the progression for where we are with each character feels pitch perfect to me. There are plenty of options out there if people just want to see pretty models going at it, I'm much more interested in the story! I don't know get the complaints about the lack of night scenes personally, unless they're referring to being in an isolated situation where we have a few different options of how to "play". EP4's library scene with mom definitely scratched that itch for me as well as EP5's reward in MC's room. I certainly wouldn't have minded having those options with Abby. ;)

well the night mini game with the mom only has one conclusion but with the sisters or aunt there is some room possibly with some reverse rape...or something like that. People are going to complain no matter what. The game is progressing and that is what counts. Your not adding all these new features to the game while were still on day 1 with the mom and there is nothing new with the sisters.

Hey, Sin.So, I just want to say, another amazing update.While things with sisters were nice, it could be little better for my taste.But with the aunt, you really got it, man, :D But yet again,you made magic with mom.The first scene was amazingly hot, but cabin? It was like you could read my deepest, darkest, naughty fantasies xD And bring them to screen xD While I have more things to say, I will share them on your next posts.Right now I want to express one idea or Desire ,if you will ;) Mom is my favourite character by far, and scene with Alice was my second favourite (first is the cabin one) , i was thinking that it would be godlike, if you could make a scenario when you and mom shower together! The details I will leave to your beautiful mind, just please, if you could not immediately throw that idea away, and just think about it ;) And again, thank you for all your hard work, we people here support you 200%

OK, part 2... wanted to talk about the game length again. You mentioned above how you're not sure how to please everyone. This might be part of the problem, as I'm sure you're aware its impossible to keep everyone 100% completely happy. I suggest continuing to develop the game how you originally intended it to be. When you first start the game, Episode 1 that is, you get the tutorial. Literally the first line reads, "This game adapts to the decisions you make". People knew what they were getting when they pledged; a non-linear game. Stick to your guns in my opinion. About the night scenes, I get why your hesitant to continue on with these. Like you mentioned we've pretty much done everything already, and things can get redundant pretty quick. I wonder when the patrons ask for more night stuff, are they looking for more scenes where the victim (haha, not sure what other word to use here) is fully asleep like in the past, or maybe just for more content in general and have a sexual encounter that just takes place at night when the girls are still awake (think Alice shower scene). You have proven yourself to be pretty darn creative, so whatever route you go I'll be anxious to see how you tackle this issue. Lastly the teasing. This is a small tangent from what you're referring to in the above update, but still relevant. I'm all for things to get more serious with the ladies, but I hope Aunt Jenna keeps the tease alive, so to speak. I asked you on Discord if her overly teasing nature is intentional, and you basically said yes. You also mentioned how you feel Mom is a similar tease, as she's always putting a halt on things when they're about to get good. I agree, kind of. Mom is an indirect tease, most of the time she doesn't know she's stopping 'playtime' (think study time with Alice, when she's about to grab a handful and Mom calls her to the kitchen), where Aunt Jenna is a physical tease (pool deck lap grind, holy sheeet/serves whiskey to MC with tits out) and she knows exactly what she's doing. I just feel like this is who her character is, that she likes to see the MC walking around with all his pent up sexual tension (at least when she's not fully hypno'd). She's made her intentions very clear at the end of EP 5, so we know what she wants, and that's great. My hope is that every now and then, before we have a steamy encounter with her she stays true to her identity and gives a bit of a tease and then gets wild. Of course this is just on my wishlist, and perhaps you have her mapped out way different. I look forward to whichever way you decide to have her play out in EP 6 and onward. Thanks for reading another long'ish post, and don't text and drive kids ;)

I honestly think you've made and you're making the best erotic/porn game of this kind. As for the feedback, I loved this episode more than the last one, and I think it's better to go slow than go fast and skip the teasing. I mean, it wouldn't look realistic to just go straight fuck your mom (I feel like this sentence is so wrong gramatically, I apologize but I don't know how to say it nicely), you have to build it up, and I think it should take more than a few days to do so. So I guess, keep going the way you like it. PS : I love, love, love this mom. You've made a hell of a job on her at every level possible.

Good job man, I really enjoyed the episodes! Bad luck getting the flue in the middle of the summer haha. I didn't think this episode was any shorter than the earlier, felt like about the same length as before. Looking forward to the rest!

Thank you Jens! I think there is no reason to hide these things. If I was my own Patron, I'd be happy to hear as much info as possible too. There are of course future developments (like new game ideas or features), and talking about them would be a mistake so early on, but you'll know everything, all in due time.

Nice to see a creator being a bit more professional than others. Can't get more annoying than when a creator keeps the patrons in the dark while postponing the release multiple times. So nice to know what's happening and what to expect. Keep up the good work.

First and foremost, take care of yourself. There's no use in slowly chipping yourself to the ground to the point where working becomes a real problem. I'm also not sure what people are expecting as far as episode length goes. I'm to assume the bulk of work is done on your home computer, by you alone nonetheless. You've been very transparent about this. Maybe folks see your monthly income and imagine you have this "machine" of a team behind you churning these episodes out no problem, like some AAA studio. Just do what's reasonable. I have more to say, particularly about the night scenes and the "teasing", but I'm at work and typing this out on my phone is a true pain in the ass. I'll give more feedback later tonight.

Awesome! I'm happy there's gonna be some night stuff. Don't mind the teasing at all, I personally think it's worse to move too fast. And by all means, don't be afraid to make it 12 or more episodes, I really love this game and want as many as possible! Here's hoping to Dreams of Desire 2! PS: Get well soon!
