[Blog]Rough recap of February, announcements, etc.

Hello !!!!

In February, I had a lot of things to do other than modeling after WF, so I was inputting knowledge about them and verifying them, and it turned into March in a blink of an eye.

I am working on the GK project as well, and I will have the next announcement by the end of March!

I've already completed the ones that I can announce in March, so I'm just in the process of making the production video and other things. So please wait for the next announcement!

┃February of study and work

During the month of February, I was working on my next project while simultaneously inputting other knowledge (not even a millimeter related to models), and the amount of knowledge required was so great that I had to repeat and verify it every day... I can't imagine what the future holds if this continues. I'm not sure if this will continue in the future. I hope I can adapt quickly...

It is quite a bleak outlook for the future that I am not in a situation where I can just work on models and be fine. As for my tax return, I was able to use e-tax again this time. I used to file my tax returns on paper until a few years ago, but recently I've been using e-tax almost exclusively, so I don't have to go out of my room even a single step.

In addition to the above, there was an unprecedented level of transportation accident. When I heard the news, I looked at the photos with a sense of dread, but it was at a level where I thought it would be relatively manageable, so I had it sent back and will have it repaired.

I will be more careful about the packaging next time because I didn't expect this to happen when shipping overseas, even if the packaging is fine for domestic shipments. I will be more careful about packaging next time. I want to remember the spirit of ”Partial packaging is Justice” only for overseas shipments.

I'm really just a blog, but recently the time spent on X has been dramatically decreasing. At first, I intentionally reduced the amount of time I spent on X, but I found myself posting only once every day or two... Some people may prefer it this way, so I may continue at this pace when I have nothing going on.

As you can see from the fact that I am using such a large amount of time to write this much, I am basically an output-oriented person...

During March, I hope to be able to update how to use Cyanon as requested, while preparing articles and videos on the production of the next piece... (wishful thinking)

Hi jazz-san! Thanks for looking at my patreon. I have left a lot of posts about GK, so I hope you will take the time to read them when you have time. Now, I will respond to your question. I soak the mold release in paint thinner for about 10 minutes to remove it. Note: Never use tool cleaner. It is too strong and will destroy your resin kit. It is a very easy method, but please note the following 1. keep the environment well ventilated. 2. do not handle the solvent with bare hands (be sure to have special gloves with a solvent regime). 3. It is not a panacea (not all mold releases can be removed by this method). I don't think I need to explain about 1 and 2; about 3. If the mold release is strong, simply soaking in paint thinner is not sufficient to remove it. So it is best to sand the entire part with a #600 sponge file in conjunction with seam line removal as a preliminary step. Of course, using cleanser soaked in cleaner and hot water and scrubbing with a toothbrush is also effective (this is safer for beginners!) So work with whatever method works for you! Of course, this technique can be used for your Toki kit as well. And thanks for the encouragement! I will continue to do my best!

Hello!! So first off, I just started following your Patreon today so I’m so excited to get all this info! Thank you for sharing. I’m still new to GK building (I’ve only finished two projects so far) but I love painting. Your videos have seriously helped me so much! I had a question about what you use/how you clean your resin kits after prep to get rid of the mold release? I only know the method of having it sit in cleaner for a day or so and then scrubbing with a toothbrush (which is pretty tedious and strains my hands after a while lol I just got a ultrasonic cleaner to help). But in your videos you seem to use some kind of mixture that cleans resin in 10 minutes! Is that true or movie magic? Is there still scrubbing involved or waiting before being able to prime and paint? I’d definitely be super happy if you could maybe shed some light on this or point me to the info if you posted it already. haha Once again, thanks for all your thorough posts here! I’m currently working on a Blue Archive Toki Bunny GK right now (the one by Frenchdoll!) and I was hoping to use some of your methods to complete her. I’m really excited about what I can do with this information! Can’t wait to see more stuff! Sorry for the long comment, but I hope you’re doing well after such a tiring month. Please keep going and stay healthy! -jazz
