An audiobook, a recommendation, and a thank you

Whatup homedogs.

Firstly, a bit of housekeeping. I've kept the Patreon setting to "X amount per video," but that seems absurd, and it's not what most of you signed up for. I'm currently a bit concerned, however, that if I change it back, it'll charge you twice. So I'm not going to do that until I can confirm it with Patreon themselves. However. What I'll do in the meantime is just choose one video per month, and do the charging procedure that way.

After Jesus knows how long it's been, the audiobook is finally in the editing phase. At the request of a few of you, I ditched the professional actor idea, and just used my own grating tones. I've also thrown in a new story that wasn't in the original version of The Bridge to Lucy Dunne. Just for funsies. I'll be sending it out for free to the lot of you when it's finally released, which will hopefully be in the next few weeks. Still, the universe is a mysterious place, so let's see what happens.

Some of you who are donating rather absurd quantities of money - for God knows what reason - haven't really asked for anything in return. This is fine, but it's also pretty fucking ungrateful on my part. As promised, if you ever do want to have a chat on Skype, or get your own piano piece written, you need only drop me a line at exurb1achannel@gmail.com.

Also something that keeps coming up in the comments, I've noticed, is the mention of a schedule. I hope it's apparent by now that I don't have one. The problem with not making stuff about current events, or what have you, is that you just have to wait for the next half-decent idea. And if you don't have one, you sit tight until it turns up. If it turns up. I've made videos before that were forced, and I know damn well that you know damn well that they were forced too. And it's just a stupid idea. I do hope you'll bear with me then if there's a bit of a lull every now and then. Ultimately, it's for the best, I think.

Next, some recommendations from the last month. I discovered a chap called Adam Westbrook, thanks to a commenter on a video. I would be surprised if you didn't dig his stuff also; I strongly suggest giving his work a watch. For starters, what got me hooked anyway, was this, and it's quite fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV6tZEj4yY0

I also finally got around to reading Catch 22, which somehow eluded me up until now. And it's the first book I've read in years that had me laughing so hard I thought I was going to die. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. https://www.amazon.com/Catch-22-50th-Anniversary-Joseph-Heller/dp/1451626657/ref=tmm_pap_title_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1489325495&sr=8-1

And lastly, a thank you, really. Those of you who are still donating on here are nothing short of ubermensch as far as I'm concerned. And uberfrau, of course. As I've said before, I wouldn't be able to do this without your kindness. I have a few more slightly ambitions plans with projects coming up, musically and YouTube-wise, and hope they don't disappoint. It's your patronage that'll bring them into existence. A bit like having a baby. But less messy. And with no genitals exposed.

All the best and I hope you're doing well, you bastards,

Ex.
