Oooh Koide coming out of nowhere with an animation! Hwat? Kyde Animation actually Kyde Animating? It's true, my children! I actually did the thing!

"What is this, Kyde? This isn't Frankie. This is a bug. Hornet from that Hollow Knight game. And what is this, she has boobs? Uh, actually, insects don't possess mammary glands. Why are you spitting in the face of biology? Why does she have boobs and is wearing underwear?"

These are good questions. Another good question is "Why does my penis perfectly fit in your mom's mouth?"

"Oh, I get it, Kyde. You're one of those Argonian Boobs apologists, aren't you?"

Alright. Yeah. You got me. I like me some lizard titties. You know why? Because I'm a pervert. Same thing with some bugussy. And you can't stop me.

Sorry, I was having a moment there. What is this? This is actually the quickest animation I've ever made. I did it in three days. Three! That's fucking bananas, for me. The previous record holder was that Sandy animation I did, the really cursed one. That was like, six days. And it kinda looks like trash. But, I don't think this one does!

I had like, heard that there was some drama with Vivziepop? For a second I thought she was pegging her animators or something. But, no. Like, apparently she wasn't paying her animators enough. But then I also heard that it was better than the normal rate. She pays $35.00 per second of animation, and the standard is $25.00. Now, no one asked me my opinion on this, probably because no one cares about my opinion, but I genuinely have no idea what "1 second of animation" means. Like, that sounds self-explanatory, but what does it mean? There are a lot of steps to a second of animation, and typically animators do one portion. Rough animation, clean lineart, coloring, the background, what exactly is she paying $35.00 for? So I said to myself, "Hey, I'm an animator. Can I make a second of animation fast enough to be worth $35.00?" The answer is "No 😌" 

$35.00 for three days of work is like, really really bad. But hey! This is still great for my normal speed! So, I'm really thinking there's more to it. I don't think her animators are doing everything themselves. There's probably a pipeline or something. 

Hollow Knight is a cool game, by the way. Though, that probably goes without saying. I always get afraid of making art of hand-drawn 2D animated properties, though. I don't think I'm amazing at animation, but I do think I'm competent. So, I'm afraid that these companies will see these things and kidnap me, forcing me to work on their games / shows. Be another animator cog in the machine. I'd really rather not work in a studio. I like it here. Plus I just hate being told what to do. So, we're going to establish a code phrase. If I ever make a post like, "Hey everyone, I just got offered a job to work on Skullgirls sprites" and then specifically say "I am truly blessed to have this opportunity," that means that I have been kidnapped and enslaved, and you all need to rescue me IRL. Sound good? 

Anyways, I had other jokes planned, but I forgot the rest. I'm happy with this one, but no more goofing around. I'm going back to Frankie. Doing stuff like this is kind of a morale boost though, if y'all notice, I generally come back from my absences with a static, then a small animation, then a normal one. I think. At least that's how I remember it. Now that the ball is very much rolling, I can get through Frankie. It's hard picking up something that's been in progress for such a long time, my brain just turns to mush. But, running through each step of the process, and lightning fast at that, really helps me get back into a proper groove.

I promise Frankie is next! I've just been having a ton of fun with art in general, so I'm just running around like a Golden Retriever. The same day I started on this one, I also started up two other pieces. Not a great practice, I know, but I'm having fun.
