(WIP) [ANIMATION] YNA "Key Art"

I keep forgetting how I format my stupid titles for these posts, I hope they're somewhat consistent.

Sorry I haven't posted in a "hot minute," as the trendy say. Or said, that's probably out of vogue now. This is one of the animations I'm juggling this month, along with Pixie Willow's and another I haven't started on. Earlier this month, I did a piece for a big ol' Art Collab I was invited to, so that was pretty cool. It's just like, a normal art piece, not smut or anything, so it was pretty fun to get to be a regular artist for a little bit. But, it was hard, weirdly enough. I'm so used to making things like this right here that doing something SFW and "normal" was a weirdly dramatic shift in mindset. Other NSFW artists were invited too, so I felt like I was competing with them. The whole thing was fun, and I'd like to post what I made, but I can't until the collaboration gets all posted and shit. The coordinator said that if I posted my work early, he'd track me down and break my legs. 

ANYWAYS, this animation is another I promised I'd do like years ago, so I'm getting it knocked out. It's for a friend named LewdTechne on Twitter using his OCs, and I'm very thankful for him since he helped me a lot when I had the sads. Fun fact, he was in a voice call with me the very moment my grandmother died! What a lucky boy he is, he had a front-row seat watching my shitshow of a life. He really helped me get back in the saddle though, so I'm making something vile with his characters. I think he mostly wanted to just see his characters animated, so he's resorting to me getting my creepy fingers all over them.

His characters are Yuna, the pink-haired schoolgirl, and Seishin, the demonic backpack. She merc's dudes and feeds them to the backpack. I like the vibe with them, it's kinda old school horror, where something evil gets someone innocent to do their evil bidding. Kinda like how my haunted cymbal monkey tells me to furiously jack off all the time. Frankly, I don't know why she listens to the thing, if my backpack was trying to get me to kill people for it, I'd just chuck that sumbitch in a river. But, I don't want to victim blame here.

Now, for the backpack, Techne's original design is on the right, and my take on the character is on the left, the one with the chicken legs and beady eyes. I think it's a dick move to redesign someone's OCs, but I did get his permission. I really like drawing icky little monsters. That's like, my fucking jam. That's pretty much how I've spent most of my artistic life, drawing icky little monsters. But, that doesn't pay, so I draw smut now. Smut with icky little monsters? Hell yeah, now we're talking. I was excited about the prospect of drawing an icky little monster, so I did that one "just for fun," but Techne said I could use it in the animation if I want. I was going for a Yokai vibe with him, hence the chicken legs. Japanese ghosts seem to have one or two weird design elements about them, so I think the chicken legs work. Plus there is actually a Yokai backpack, AND it has chicken legs. Also a woman's head with a sword sticking out of her mouth, and she breathes fire. That thing is fucking weird.

Uh, anyways. This one is going to be short, similar to that Sandy one. I've dicked around with this Key Art for too long, so now I'm going to actually do the animation. I'm hoping to get it done in a matter of days. I lost track of time, but I'm getting back on track.
