(WIP) [ANIMATION] SLG_03 Version 01 "Pencils"

Lord almighty, is this one ever taking me a while. And it's just one part of it. It's been a great learning experience though, teaching me that everything I have been doing has been WRONG. Look at the crab, and look at Fio and Eri. Can you see the subtle differences in art style? That's because this one has taken me so fucking long that my art has changed. What a nightmare. But, that's why I'm taking responsibility and working to improve my process and my weaknesses. No one second loop should take over a hundred hours. That's like how long Richard Williams took to animate. And this is with a crab.

You know, this one started off as a joke. It's synced to crab rave. But the thing about jokes, is they stop being funny pretty quickly after you've heard them. Working on this one has been like having someone say "Two guys walked into a bar. You think they would've seen it coming" day after day. It's madness. Crab Rave now makes me want to drive nails into my own skull. But, this bullshit must end, and I'm seeing it through to the end so I can properly move on with my life.

Whining aside, I'm really happy with their shoes. I think I did a good job on them. They almost look 3D to me.

Stay tuned for the lineart. I doubt it'll take months. But who knows, maybe I'll get hit by a van tomorrow and hospitalized.
