Added 2017-07-31 21:57:42 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I hope you've had a great July! I took some time off this month, but I was still able to get this done. I hope you like it!

I feel like I'm starting to get a better and better grasp of how to properly use layer blending modes to set up good lighting. I used to use effects that looked fine, but weren't very well structured in the workflow. They created complicated layer stacks, if that makes sense. I've started using Multiply and Divide a lot more for adding shadows and light, and it's working out very well. I recommend trying it!
The thing I feel I still haven't got a very good grasp of is brush efficiency and use of textures, like I've probably mentioned a few times before. Hopefully I'll make some progress on that in the next few illustrations. :)

I love the colours, composition, lighting, detail and textures (everything, basically πΉ) The colours here look terrific with the largely warm tones at the centre, flanked by the cool toned fabrics along the bottom and cool light on the right with the lady's beautiful blue eyes and white hair distinct against the skin ones and fire in the background. I love the lighting with the lady, wall behind her and red fabrics beneath warmly lit with her lighter tones contrasting against the darker men on either side of her and darker areas closer to the foreground. The rendering, textures and level of detail throughout are breathtaking as ever, the anatomy and musculature of the two men each look terrific, the stone wall behind them all, the folds of the curtains to the sides and sheets beneath them all, detail in the side of the pillow beneath the left man, patterns in the gold plate and shine of the bottle and glass are all amazing. The lady herself (saving the best for last π) is stunningly painted π», I mentioned before how I adore her warm toned skin with her captivating blue eyes set against it, her hair too is wonderful both in terms of it's sweeping and flowing style as well as the level of detail in painting with the strands all defined and braids seen between them. Her face is beautiful with a cute nose and luscious lips, her body is simply incredible, I really like that we see so much of her breasts and yet her nipples are hidden, sensually pressing into the fabric below and blocked by her arm, that arch in her back is great too, especially how leads the eye up to her delightful bum. The way her bangle squeezes the form of her upper arm is a great touch and I really like the gold/blue colour scheme of her bracer and the goop (itself painted very well) accentuates her magnificent body and features even further as it wraps over her forms. And another thing that I almost forget, something about her calves crossing like that is really cute to me. Sensational work once again, Calm! I always look forward to your work, you have a brilliant style that I adore, semi-realistic characters with beautiful, vibrant colours and a tonne of detail π
