Added 2017-01-24 23:08:32 +0000 UTCHello! Here's the latest picture I've been working on. I was hoping I'd get two pictures done this month, but this one took a bit longer than I wanted it to, so I might not. But! The next one is in progress, so we'll see. :)
Drawing environments like this isn't something I'm very used to, so it wasn't as straight forward as I had hoped it would be. I definitely need more practice with custom brushes and textures and all that stuff to make environment painting easier. I hope you like it though!
As usual, the reward packs are sent out at the end of the first week of next month.
The next picture I'm painting is thumbnail sketch #7 from poll #33. That one will be more of a close-up scene, which will be nice to work on again. :)

The composition of the environment is very much designed to have someone at the center there, so it might look a bit odd without them, but I'm happy to hear you think so. :D

In this case I felt like it would take too much work to make the difference meaningful enough. Sorry about that. :) I think you'll be happy with the next illustration though! That one will have two versions, for sure. :D

The colours are so vibrant, I love the surrounding greens with the contrasting pinks surrounding the warm tones of the lucky guy π. The lighting is fantastic, as with the colours, I like that it's set up to draw the viewers eye to the centre, the contrast between light and shadow is terrific as is how well defined the forms of the characters are. The shapes here are wonferful too with the curving, twisting forms of the trees and the level of detail and texture put in the surroundings is astonishing π. And then of course there's the characters, all beautifully painted and rendered, the muscular forms of the man and the sensual bodies of the ladies. The poses are great with the curving forms of the left girl, hair nestled between her breasts with her gently cradling and caressing the man as he gazes towards her, his own hands wrapped around the thighs of the other, a euphoric grin as she straddles him, magnificent stomach extended and breasts protruding... In other words, I really like the scene and characters ππ (the hands of the right girl are incredible too). As always, could ramble on for much longer about every detail I love, sensational work, Calm π. (Is that the same guy from the naiad painting? Lucky him, first naiads π and the dryads π, pretty great adventure ππ)
