1-18-21 Progress Update

Well, now that you've had the chance to play v0.03, what do you all think of it?  We realize that the sleep scenes aren't for everyone, which is why we provided awake alternatives...and dream sequences as a sort-of compromise.   And we'll continue to do so in the next version, which will also be all about Aurora!  We hope you realize now why we needed to tell her story next...what better way to stir things up for our MC and his all-powerful Pen than throwing some villains into the mix?

We've planned out everything we want to do for v0.04, but the next release will be v0.03 public.  You may want to pick this one up because of a major change we made to the drawing system.  For those of you who managed to unlock the draw skill level updates (or cheated your way to them), you know the rewards are few and far between.  Since drawing is still the central theme of the game, we decided to make the time it takes to draw an object proportional to your draw skill.  Like in your average RPG, you should be able to level up and notice the changes quickly at first, but the higher your level gets, the more you'll have to work for the reward.  The best part about all of this is that it will not require a restart, the changes will be smoothly integrated into your existing save.

Also starting this build, the sites where we do our promoting will be getting a "demo" version for their web build.  This will help perspective new players jump into the action faster, determine if they like the art and gameplay before getting invested in the story.  You'll be okay to skip this demo version since it's the same content you've already seen.

Finally, towards the end of the month we'll be announcing the next way you can directly influence our game.  We don't want to spoil too much about this right now, but stay tuned!
