Launch F.A.Q.
Added 2020-07-16 23:05:53 +0000 UTCWow, within 24 hours of launching Park After Dark, we've already got 4 awesome patrons and tons of other support around the interwebs! (Plus, my reddit karma doubled overnight, which is even cooler!)
I'm going to take this time to answer some of the questions and concerns that have already come up:
Q. How often will builds be released?
A. Right now we are aiming for builds every month and a half. Unfortunately artwork of this excellent quality takes time!
Q. Why no sex? / Why no sounds?
A. See above. Content takes time and money. If you want to see more of it, you should become a patron!
Q. Why no "sleep" button or quicker way to pass time?
A. Man, it's almost like you don't want to play the game. Right now you can talk to Yen Sid, draw money, or play the drawing practice minigame...which will definitely pay off for you in the long run if you do.
Q. What's up with the Rubik's cube?
A. This menu is used to enter cheat codes, which are patron exclusives. Each tier higher gets you more stuff to play with!
Q. What's up with the ugly-looking wizard?
A. It's surprising that Yen Sid is getting so much hate since he is an official character and looks as true to his design here as Cindy does.
Q. Game won't open on Mac.
A. Really? Unfortunately I don't have a Mac to test with, but I followed the same build process I have for Mac builds before. This was only reported by one player, so it's possible that the problem is with their system. You can try some of the troubleshooting tips in this thread.
