I did this illustration for a video awhile back for a local competition. We got 3rd place. You can view the video HERE.
For non locals who are reading this, The video explains what the tale is about. But if you want me to explain the tale here. It started a long time ago, about a man who grew up with his mother, a widower. Even though she was poor, she provided everything for her son. Later, he married into royalty, his mother wanted to visit and congratulate her son, however his wife was disgusted by his mother's appearance. He was shocked by his wife's reaction and felt ashamed. He pretended to not know his mother and cast her away. In anger, she cursed her son along with his wife while they were on a ship. The ship crashed and everyone on it turned to stone. The moral of the story for this tale is to respect your elders.
The art style was inspired from Diablo 3 character intros.
