"The abandoned hotel's main hallway that extends, twists and turns down for 3 kilometers and ends nowhere.
Ian, the librarian, found an old separator on a book that, according to the records, had been taken out of the library 40 years ago and had just recently been returned anonymously.
The book in question, a memoir. And the content, complete gibberish and written upside down. But more importantly, it once formed part of the collection of the hidden section of the library. The one that holds the books that deal with the occult. And the separator, even more weirdly, was a souvenir from an old hotel out of town on the foot of the mountains that had been condemned and abandoned in the 60s.
He immediately called Nicole, he knew that she would want to see this. And not even a day later the gang were breaking into the hotel.
Nothing out of the ordinary, everything you would expect to see at an abandoned place, the Lobby wrecked and vandalized, and that description extends for most of the building. But as they inspected the place they found that the main hallway kept going.
They went in, and shortly after they noticed that the graffiti in the wall began to appear less frequently. The more they walked they noticed that the hallway had begun to twist. And when they were really close to start walking on the roof, they saw lights.
They got to the part of the hotel where the electricity was still running. And this part was inoculated. Yet empty. Occasionally they'd open the doors to check what was inside.
Only regular hotel rooms. But with the windows painted on the wall, and as crooked as the hallway.
Eventually they reached the end of the hallway. It just sort of ended.
It was suspended into a completely dark and vast void. So wide and dark that no matter how powerful the lamps or camera flashes were, the void just ate the light. Nothing there but blackness.
Nicole theorized that the mountain the hotel was located at were empty
What was this place? What made this place? And why?
See, I've had a sketch for this piece for a while. The concept I took from a story I developed for a short film I started working with a friend some months ago when I became interested in liminal horror but unfortunately it is on pause for the moment. The story and characters are not the same so I'm not spoiling anything but the setting is a bit similar.
The story I wrote was going to be a shorter explanation of the piece but I got a bit carried away. It's literally a first draft so it could be better written in some parts.
Also the dog with the glasses in the old photo on the floor/wall was believed to be the devil but it was just one of his goons.
