And This time the two titles have a purpose. See this is an old comic I started working in when COVID started to go down finally but I never finished for whatever reason.
It was a bit of weird timing with it because first it seemed like COVID was over and then it came back and then it started to slowly go down but not really, and then just when it was over I got Covid so it couldn't be over and it all was such a gradual thing that when COVID was finally over (if it is), it was kind of too late to post this comic.
But here it is finally as I've been thinking that even if it is too late for it, the second part of the comic still works on its own. It's a shame that Tak kicking the door open gets cut though. But who knows I've heard some rumors of a new COVID wave coming so I'm crossing my fingers! (For it to not happen of course lol)
I liked the idea for Tak to have been in full quarantine and anxious about cause she's living with her mother and her sister. Her mother has diabetes, her sister asthma and Tak was not taking any chances.
This comic would have been the introduction to Nicole and her crew, as it actually was the first time I drew the three of them as a team, (Nicole and Ignacio had had some pieces before but this was Veronica's first) and I like it shows a more mundane and sillier side of their job.
The doll is nowhere to be found here because I started this before I came up with her, this thing is that old, so we can understand this as happening before they found her. Or, if you're feeling intrepid, this could be them hunting her without knowing. Making this a direct prequel of the Doll's first appearance.
There also a couple of edits I could make to the beginning of this comic to cut the COVID stuff and tie it to another comic I mentioned last week but the truth is that said comic needs a lot of work. I finished but I didn't love how it came out so I'll revisit that one later and then we'll see about this one.
Also, I guess Tak knows the whisperers, who knew?
