#101 - yiff party

This was a commission. Oh yes I'm still doing commissions, though I tend to reserve them for friends or people I can otherwise trust to trust me with the creative process (like previous commissioners), so it's not something I'm quite comfortable with opening back up to the public just yet.

And that trust was well placed in my opinion. It's always fun to learn new techniques and be able to apply them to my projects even as I'm getting...a bit long in the tooth with this hobby of mine. And in this case, it was regarding caustics. Or more simply, it's that wonderful disco ball lighting effect you see. This commission simply wouldn't have been the same without it.

The original idea for this commission, as you'll see in this Trello card, was much more "serious", with a Worgen sitting deep in contemplation as a bunch of used and spent men surrounded him. We initially kept the idea of "used and spent men" as a basis. The "lead" Kul'tiran in this scene was originally facing downwards, with the Worgen's feet on his ass + head. I realized though that it was quickly becoming a little too dark and creepy (he looked too much like a corpse than a sex coma'd man), so I flipped the Kul'tiran right side up.

With that simple adjustment, I then realized I had to change the position of the main camera to provide a better view of both the Kul'tiran + Worgen. With the camera being set lower, it was then evident that our original concept needed to change slightly, so I proposed making everything much lighter thematically by setting it in like a gay nightclub. And everything really started coming together quickly after that.

Oh yeah, and there's finally a rat in a starring role too. 😱 I found him surprisingly easy to work with, so maybe you'll be seeing more rats in the future. They always look more sinister than sexy to me though, or maybe that's just how I like to depict them. 😈 And just like with my other furry friends, he's been nippleified. That's just how I like my furry guys.

And so with this new rat model and the just updated BBH and Orc models (again), that Worgen model is actually like...the last model that still needs an upgrade (we don't talk about Dwarves unless if Siggy's around). He is not of the same quality as the others, so he's still a bit lumpy and sporting downright ancient features like fake 3D nipples. 😬 For now though he still fits in with the crowd mostly fine I think, and wouldn't you want me to put in that effort into working on a Darkspear Troll model or Pan-
