From around Aug. 2017 or so.
There's not much for me to talk about since this is such an old project. I'll just go over some interesting points. I think this was a free request, not a commission.
Most of the models I used at that point (if not all of them) didn't have proper asses. Including that Human, but for this project specifically I sculpted a "faux"-ass for him because there would've been no way to pull certain shots off if he didn't have any buttocks. Thankfully asses are a "solved" problem for me nowadays.
Speaking of the human, apparently he recurs in a few other artists' works as well. Easily recognizable by that hairstyle, which I'm not a fan of. I wish he had some facial hair too but not my character, so 🤷♂️.
I don't have much to say about the Troll either. He's definitely a lot meatier than the in-game one. I do think regular Trolls are sorely missing in my body of work overall but I'm in no rush to start prioritizing them over the other races just yet.
The Orc in the background was a surprise last minute addition from me, iirc. I remember posting a cropped version of that shot featuring only the Orc on my Tumblr, and people ended up really liking that crop. More so than the actual project. There's actually another Orc in one of the shots that I think can be easily missed. Look real closely.
I don't remember much of the theme/setting here, if there was any. It's a Human getting stiffed by a Troll. Pretty basic setup.
As you can probably tell by now, I'm rather blasé about this project with my retrospective analysis of it. It's boring to me, and because of that, I probably wouldn't remake this project.
