When I put this entire thing up as an option in the last poll, I didn't really expect it to win, and I also did not have a very clear concept of what exactly it would even be. There was just this general, and very practical Idea that I wanted something to allow playing my other mods without always resulting in a game reload.
Bit while I was working on the thing, the Picture became clearer. And one thing it did certainly change for me was my view about the Dialogue system
Making Dialogues in Skyrim is a not a difficult thing once you've found the wiki page about it, but it always remains a very clunky and time consuming process, especially if you need to integrate scripts into them (Whats mostly because the Creation Kit does not like the Dialogue view and keeps crashing while looking at it -.- )
But despite all those hardships, I really started to enjoy it. Giving the existing Characters
personality, Adding new Characters and backstories. Adding a few tidbits about the Dwemer devices and explaining why they exist... Its a fun thing to do.
I do realize that this probably is not the main point of interest for everyone in my audience, And I apologize especially to those who aren't english speakers, but I hope you will be able to forgive me that I spent a bit of extra time on these details.
But enough about me and my creative indulgences, lets talk about what we currently have and when you will get it.
Right now, the Entire Sovngarde quest is fully playable and repeatable, I'm currently doing final testing an polishing and plan to release the Initial beta on Monday(-ish).
I've got fully implemented Dialogue Trees for the All the Quest Relevant heroes in the Hall of Valor, as well as for a new Supporting Character.
Characters have changing dialogues and will acknowledge if the player has been in Sovngarde multiple times, and will also know how exactly they got there.
The Final version of the mod is supposed to have three "Trials" from which the player can choose to Acquire the Atherial Glimmer and complete the Quest. Currently only one is fully implemented, but the remaining 2 already have shell implementations in place with all the support scripts they need. You can already talk to the heroes to find out what they will be.
Unfortunately, I didn't have time yet to add the lost souls roaming in the fog. They aren't integral to the functioning of the quest, so I left them out for now so I can release something and start collecting feedback on it.
I think that covers everything of relevance for now. I know already said this last time, but this post here really is the last one before the actual release. I just wanted to get this out beforehand.
With that said, as always, Thank you for support and patience.
Talk to you again soon :)
