Back To Solitude

Alright, the Poll has run for far longer than originally planned, and by now everyone should have had a fair chance to get their Vote in.

By a small margin, the Solitude Events managed to win, which means we will be Returning to Skyrims Capital and pick up where we left of last time.
This means at least one (maybe two) new Scenes/Outcomes for the public Plaza, as well as new Interactions with the Plaza overseer.
The latter one specifically means the already hinted at Back alley Event which is meant to bail out your companions and friends from unjust confinement at the Plaza. And once again, just as already hinted at in the Discord, there will be Dialogue options and multiple outcomes for this. Some predictable ones, some silly ones, and also some dark ones.

Something else I want to address is in regard to the Dwemer Device, or any of the other projects in the past which have run far longer then originally anticipated.

Usually the Reason for these instances where time between updates reached months, wasn't any technical hurdle.
It was instead mostly caused by feature creep and a loss of interest or motivation on my End.

In the Case of the Dwemer Device for example, As far as I was concerned, the Thing was finished after the Initial working version came out (i.e. the version WITHOUT the limbless options). Everything after that felt more like a chore to do, especially since I don't have a particular interest in this sort of stuff myself. I was pretty much just doing it because I knew there are folks among my audience who are into this, and the Device itself kinda lend itself towards this stuff.

But what ended up happening was pretty much just me sitting down on my PC, dreading how I have to make new Sets of animations for this and trying to search for soundbits online again...
Just for me to not get Anything done for 6+ hours. And that cycle repeated for days.

So, where am I going with this?
I think that, going forward from here, There will be more situations when I encounter this sort of Deadlock. And If this happens again, I will need to call quits on it and move on to something else.
Even if this means leaving a given project not 100% finished, I think this is still preferable to not Getting done ANYTHING for months.

And there is actually precedent for this tactic working. The Solitude Events and the Outdoor Events both have been left of with some major bits of content missing in the past, but I think they still provided a fair bit of entertainment to those who downloaded them. So I don't feel to bad about this.

Just wanted to get this off My chest because it really bothered me. Most of you are fairly forgiving and patience with me, but It reached a point when I started to feel guilty for wasting your time and money, So I don't want that to happen again.

And with that out of the way, I'm off to Solitude with a new Suite of models, ready to make cool and fresh stuff again. See you soon :)

This is not a job, Pama. The moment it feels like one, stop doing whatever it is that's making you feel that way. You have a hobby/interest, and people like it and pay you money to do more of it. But it is absolutely not an obligation to keep doing it if it no longer fulfills you. In the longer run, I'd suggest perhaps reworking the options for the polls to be things that you can foresee would keep you engaged to the end. That way, whatever folks choose, you won't feel tied to a project you have declining interest in.
