A Big Thank you

Well, it has happened again. Once more, the lofty Goal on the frontpage has been reached. So I guess I have to say a few words about it (prepare for incoming cheese)

Back in April 2020, The company I work at got into some really rough water, and so me and most of the other students there were sent home.
Suddenly faced with a lot of free time on my hands and the usual horny thoughs, I got back into modding and actually published something this time.
The reception was great, so I kept going. And now we´re here.

It has been an unreal experience so far. When I opened up this Patreon-account, I though it would at best be a means to finance 1-2 additional pizzas per month, but Instead, the unbelievable has happened and I´m now in a position where I can actually make a living out of this.

I really cannot express how grateful I´am to you. Not only did you enable me to do freely pursue what I enjoy, but you also gave me a community. This might seem trivial to many of you, but for super-introverts like me, the Discord server full of like-minded people is something extremely valuable. But your feedback directly here on this site is also more than welcome, be it a bug-report or some just something like: "great, thank you!"

So, enough cheese and back to the practical stuff. what does the reached Goal mean for us?
when I formulated it, I only really did so because Patreon urges its creators to do so. "Dream Big..." or so they say. I set something (relatively) high, convinced that I would never actually reach it. but here we are...
By now, I actually have scored a really nice job in a mid sized IT-company, which would be a mistake to just throw away. Turns out I enjoy tinkering with Linux servers almost as much as I do making gaming stuff.
Buuuuut, over the last 2 weeks I had some discussions with my supervisors and managed to arrange a reduction of my workload to a 12-hour week.
This leaves me with plenty more time to make more stuff for you, and still allows me to gain some more experience within the conventional industry.
I hope that's an acceptable compromise for you.

So, once more

Thank you.
For your support
For your patience
For making skyrim a better place

Looking forward to whats up ahead.

A Big Thank you

But on another note. Thank you for using your time and wonderful mind to make these wonderful mods.

Yes, you don't have to quit your job, it's just our way of recognizing you. patreon support is not a means to get a steady income. If you really want to thank us, just make mods as usual.

When it comes to your livelyhood, I would suggest not making compromises. Patreon support (and other similar donation/subscription pages) can build up, yes. But it can as easily evaporate within a short amount of time. So relying on it exclusively for your livelyhood is, in my personal opinion, risky. Having a Plan B if the donations tank is always a good thing. So I am quite happy to hear you have another job in a "traditional" industry. That is a good thing and nothing you need to apologize about. But yes, I am also looking forward to what may be coming to Skyrim... ;-)

Glad to hear things are going well for you mate! Always love the work and effort you put in and the contact you have with the community both here and discord.
