What has happened over the last weeks?

A few things actually.

The most notable one was the futile attemt to find a solution to the CTD issue when using Decapitations together with face overlays. Mark fairchaild was a big help on this and claims to have found a workaround which works for Special Edition (not confirmed by me yet), but For Oldrim, this issue seems to be impossible to overcome. we tried papyrus based workarounds and even recompiling the Nioverride.dll, but to no avail. 

Due to this, i will limit the amount of Decap based scenarios in future PA expansions. you´ll still get the Guilloutine for Riften, dont worry.

On the same note, my dear friend Erholung/CeBlue was kind enough to make an alternative animation for the chopping Block victim which has the Hands Bound on the Back. I will likely include them as an optional feature for the next installment for Deadly furnitures.


On the bright side however, i finally managed to get a hold of a 3dsMax version which has a somewhat working .nif exporter available for it. Which now allows me to alter existing or create new AnimObjects (maybe even whole furnitures at some point). This will definitivly come in Handy when i continue with the Impaler at some point.


Due to the aforementioned problem with Nioverride, i wasn't able to put out a preliminary version for The Riften Events, but this is still the current priority and will hopefully be available this month.

I'd prefer to have the events and disable overlays, personally.

That was our working theory as well, and his SEEMS to be true for SE. But for LE, you will get a crash if face overlays are enabled in the nioverride.ini , even if no face overlay is active at the moment.

Well, I don't think face overlays will be a huge issue? Maybe just advise for there to be no face overlays during decapitation events. The physical setting shouldn't matter as long as there are no actual overlays
