And here goes a special one...

I'm finally going into 3D... With maybe one of the most complicated stuff ever! This one might take a little while, but at least it's a project I feel like doing!

3D is quite scary to me because it's a lot of technical things you MUST learn in order to make your stuff work, but having a project I can work on and an end goal is better! I guess I did mess around with 3D before but never did anything "ready to be posted"...

And so for people interested, here we go!

I downloaded the Game model from FFXV, in a FBX file which means I had to re-arrange everything... Textures were a mess (I didn't understand sh*t and franckly I hate these lol) and thankfully Oda came to save me on this (go check his stuff if you don't know him yet!)

Now the main problem is... The Rig!

As you may or may not know, you can move your character with a few bones attached to the model. But the thing is, in an animation, these bones are pretty easy to mess with! They're are arranged so you can pose your character yourself by moving a few bones instead of moving them one by one... Which is totally how games rig works! One bone at a time! And boy oh boy is it a mess...

So now, I actually have two choices... Either I actually take it upon me and work with what I got, or I can learn how to make a good "animation ready rig". The first option might be the hardest, since I'm on my own there, but if I go the second one... There's plenty of videos on YT to help me figure out how to rig!

So yeah that's where I'm at rn, hopefully I'll be able to make progress pretty soon. I'll be working on this from time to time as a good chunky side project, but hopefully I'll make something good out of it!
