Boop-boop-a-doop! To mark the 59th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death on 4th August, I have recreated her 1961 Douglas Kirkland photoshoot and then expanded on the theme. I have been a Marilyn fan for most of my life and originally bought a wig for cosplay back in 2001 during a trip to London. It was a comedy fancy dress wig that made me look more like a blonde Marx brother, but I have always kept hold of it in the hope of improving the style. Knowing that I would be in the Premier Inn this month, with access to copious amounts of their crisp, white sheets, I started thinning-out and styling the wig over the past few weeks until I was happy with it. Such an improvement and I am sure that it will come in handy for future dress-ups.
This is the first of many hotel room photoshoots that I did on a wet Sunday afternoon in Cardiff earlier this month and you will be able to see them exclusively here on Patreon over the coming weeks and months. There will be something for everyone, so stay tuned!
