It's fun looking back now, because I haven't seen Bert in much else, but he had a tiny role in Friends: He was the guy who delivered the script to Joey that he fell down an elevator shaft. Years later, after I watched TBBT, and later watched Friends again, I'm like, "IT'S BERT!!!"

I admired Josh for losing over 100 lbs; it's a really hard thing to do! I'm really glad to see that he's been able to maintain the weight loss to this day.☺️👍

Hard to believe, I know, but the first time Carrie Fisher and James Earl Jones ever met was on the set of this episode in 2014! One of the show runners(Steve Molaro, I believe) said that when she first saw James on TBBT set she went up to him and said, "DAD!" She hugged him and they laughed.😄
Jones was only the voice of Darth Vader; David Prowse was the actor who portrayed Vader. David Prowse, an English body builder and actor, had a heavy Bristol accent, plus Vader's helmet muffled the sound of his voice; during filming Prowse said the lines, then after filming they substituted Jones' voice.
What James Earl Jones revealed about his thoughts when reading the script for Empire Strikes Back was just what he shared in this episode. He really thought that it was going to turn out to be a trick, that Vader couldn't possibly be Luke's father.. he said, "Obi Wan told Luke that Vader killed his Dad, so if it isn't a trick, I don't know how they're going to pull this off!"
I still remember reading an interview of Carrie Fisher in People magazine when "Return of the Jedi" came out, and what she said cracked me up! When asked about the big surprise reveal about Luke & Leia's father she answered, "When I read the script I just couldn't believe it! It's like someone telling me, 'yeah, your Dad isn't really Eddie Fisher, he's Adolph Hitler!"😉
Also,(and I hope I'm not boring people) Vader is actually German and Dutch for "father", though the pronunciation is slightly different.
George Lucas said he didn't know that at the time, it was just a happy coincidence, but he said that it ended up giving some Dutch and German speaking fans an early hint as to Vader's true identity.
Ok, I'm done, I swear!☺️

Bert is gonna show up more. Not to the level of Stuart, but probably on the level of Kripke and Zach. He’s fun whenever he’s around.

I love Burt! He's so awkward, but also really sweet. Fun fact: The actor who plays Burt has a small part in Friends. He's the guy who delivers the final DOOL script to Joey (where he falls down the elevator shaft).
