So, I don’t know if anyone told Nick during the last time he viewed this episode - I wasn’t part of the Patreon at the time - but that encyclopedia salesman was actually a celebrity cameo. That’s Penn, from the magician duo act Penn and Teller. They have a show called Fool Me, where aspiring magicians come on the show, perform a trick in front of them and a live audience, and Penn and Teller try to figure out how they pulled off the trick. If they can’t figure it out, you fooled them, and you get an award. You guys should check it out, there’s some clips on YouTube of them. As shown in this episode, Penn is the talkative, energetic one. It makes sense that they cast him as some kind of salesman.
