Ooh! You guys were talking about the animation and the way the shadows were, it's done the same way as Batman the Animated Series, which is all drawn on black paper. So it really made the shadows seems that much darker and everything else. It was a wild idea that really hit the mark in the show and a number of the movies it was used on as well.

2025-06-10 08:57:03 +0000 UTCBatman Beyond: Return of the Joker is a masterpiece and it takes place in the same universe as phantasm. You’d miss some context by not seeing the show Batman Beyond, but I think the movie does a good enough job standing on its own.
