I'd Love to see Nick & Quynh react to "MP Live at the Hollywood Bowl"; my boyfriend and I were actually there! Best Comedy Concert Ever!!
The film was compiled from the 4 days they played ~ Sept.26-29, '80; we saw them on the 27th. I was 21 then, I'm 65 now and I will Never forget it!😄

Try asking Siri “What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?”
MP fans would rewatch their stuff so much that they had committed the lines to memory (myself included). I always loved the “anarcho- syndicalyst commune.” You may recall the Seattle Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone protest back in 2020 when a group of people took over a few blocks for a month in protest of the George Floyd murder. Fox News spent every night railing against the “evil” protestors.
At one point, one of the protesters posted on social media a supposed description of their internal structure. But it was the “anarcho-syndicalyst commune” speech from Holy Grail. Apparently, there weren’t any MP fans over at Fox News because they reported it as reality. You can find it on the internet. It’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen!
Of course, they soundly mocked by millions of MP fans online!
You should check out Monty Python’s Life of Brian. It’s generally considered their best film. And I think you’d love Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl, as well!
Oh, and Graham Chapman (King Arthur) was definitely a core member of the troupe. I saw him speak once. At the beginning he asked the audience to hurl insults at him for 5 minutes straight. Everyone happily obliged, but ran out of steam after about a minute. “Not so easy, is it?” he said. Then he taunted us mercilessly to keep it up for the full 5 minutes! 🤣😂🤣

It was a low low low budget movie. The horses is one example. The repetitive approach to the castle by Sir Lancelot saved a lot of film. Nobody ever mentioned that Sir Robin had a chicken on his shield and on his cloth over his armor. But the French guy on the castle is my favorite character. He was SO good!

New member here. I don't know what you've reacted to before or what she's reacted to.
I would suggest Blazing Saddles, History of the World, and Young Frankenstein, and Robin Hood Men In Tights from Mel Brooks (best in chronological order because he carries jokes from movie to movie.
I would also suggest Kelly's Heroes starring Clint Eastwood and Donald Sutherland.
For a dark comedy, you've got to see Being There and Dr. Strangelove starring Peter Sellers. Classics all! Glad to be here!
Do you have a master list of stuff you've already done?

Loved watching Quynh's reaction to the 'Spank the Virgin' scene! XD XD yins are always so funny together, but the best is when you're both reacting to things like this, hehe.
I'm not sure if you know this, but at one time there was actually a computer game based on this movie. As far as I know is was only for a Macintosh computer, but when I was little (granted, I probably shouldn't have been playing it, heh) I remember each scene had a game attached to it.
So for the 'I'm Not Dead Yet!' scene there was a game that resembled Tetris. Little bit gross to hear the bodies 'squish' when you made a line of them! But they had one of the vertical or horizontal 'blocks' as the little guy and he said all his lines from the movie.
For the 'Burn the Witch' scene (and I think that was the name of the game as well) there was a game that resesmbled Simon. There were 4 or 5 witches in a row and different colored flames would come up on each one. Again, little disturbing to hear her scream every time you 'burned' her, but a fun game nonetheless.
There was also a scene where you had to fight the Black Knight, much like in the movie. You could also go into his tent and burn it down by repeatedly dropping a lit torch on the floor or bed... to which you were warned 'don't do that' or something similar every time you did.
And yes, there was a 'Spank the Virgin' game for the 'Castle Anthrax' scene. Another one I shouldn't have been playing at that age, but you could only spank the ones wear clothes; if you spanked a bare bottom, you lost.
What's funny is you basically had to go through and collect stuff as you went, but at the beginning of the game - in true Monty Python fasion - it told you that it was useless to play the game, turn back now, etc. Well, once you do get to the end of the game, THEY MAKE YOU PUT EVERYTHING BACK XD ...nobody heeds the warning at the beginning, that's for sure. But needless to say (much like in the movie) you never actually get the Holy Grail.
If you look up something like 'monty python holy grail game' I'm sure you can find clips of the ones I'm talking about, in case anyone is curious :D
I don't really have any suggestions for movies atm, but I'll be awaiting the next reaction :)
