NO LIE πŸ˜‚ and addiction too. 😭

i realized only thanks to this reaction that the demon probably didn't even know what Xander saw inside the shiny orb. it probably didn't have any "recorded memories" specific to Xander. it was probably just some magic that shows to every person their own very specific biggest fears and worries regarding relationships or the future. The first time I watched this episode, I was already in my 20s, but I almost believed it was really Xander from the future. And after he changed into the demon form, I was actually relieved. I really was glad that the future we saw wasn't real. I completely missed the fact that it doesn't matter if this demon is real or not. What matters here is that the fear of that kind of future is the real demon that no slayer can remove. Thanks so much, Nick, for mentioning that you do see your own flaws in your kids. I'm so heartbroken over people mistreating their kids just because they cannot accept about their kids what they cannot accept in themselves - sometimes it is not even technically a flaw. The poor kid has no idea why do parents hate him/her so much...

When you realize the real big bad of season 6 is depression...

(... the fear that Buffy dies is in Xander's mind because she is, in a way, most likely to die young, as was hinted many times regarding how no slayer in the history really lived till old age... All her friends probably have in the back of their minds the fear of outliving her, losing her soon. She died twice, but might not come back after the 3rd time.) Xander is only 20 years old, they all are. And you're right, considering what his father is like, it is indeed amazing that Xander is mostly a pretty decent human being. There are fans who dislike him because he at times treats women badly and never gets called out for it in the show. He also never gets called out for lying to Buffy about Willow's message regarding Angelus in season 2 finale, and about how "nobody told him" that Riley was having issues in "Into the woods" in season 5. Willow or Faith also do bad things but they do get called out harshly by other characters or by the plot itself, and Xander usually does not. In this episode, Xander deserves all the compassion and empathy and so does Anya. They were way too young to rush into this. As Willow said during the class when Buffy could not keep up, at the beginning of this season, when Buffy goes to school with Willow - social contstructs are neutral, we ascribe meanings to them..... marriage is a social construct. Xander and Anya ascribe very different meanings to it.

Thanks Nick, it does help. I love Angel, and I like to see the reactions too, but I'm just looking forward to those final 4 episodes of season 6... You're very close to the end of Buffy, what's left of season 6, and one season more ahead, and I would love to see more... but I'll wait patiently. Meanwhile, watching Big Bang and Friends is totally worth it.

So I'm following the SlayAlive watch order for both Buffy and Angel, which alternates between sets of episodes for each show to help make reactions most enjoyable. Occasionally there are several episodes of one show in a row (like there was recently with Angel) and there will be four episodes of Buffy in a row to finish off the season. Hope that helps!

Hi, could someone please tell me how often there are Buffy episodes? I've joined again so I can continue watching Buffy, (also Friends and Big Bang), but is it really 1 episode of Buffy per month as it seems based on the publication dates? Or have I seen it wrong?

Raquel

Don't forget what genre you are watching. Buffy is technically a HORROR show. That may clear some things up.
