James Marsters was given his intro for the first time last episode, The Initiative. That was the episode where he bumped up to main star status. Before that, the intro did not have the Spike sequence in it. :)

2023-01-02 21:41:08 +0000 UTC"Gentle Ben" is a reference to a tv show from the 60's about a gentle black bear that befriends a little boy and his family. I always viewed them letting Spike live as because he has information they need about the Initiative, and if they kill him, they can't get it. Great reaction, Thor. Really super excited for more of Buffy and Angel.
